I mean could the person answering your phones be anymore rude. If I’m calling an emergency room at midnight, I am already panicking I don’t really need your attitude adding to it. Called to ask if my situation couldn’t be helped by an ER or if it was a normal thing that could wait hint: I am asking cause I’ve never been in this situation. Don’t need to be paying thousands of dollars if I can wait for my PCP in the morning. Better phone etiquette is needed here - you’re in healthcare working with people - be personable.
I waited 2 hours to get a CT scan. and then another 2.5 hours to get the scan read. There was a woman in the waiting room who clearly was in distress she was weeping and in pain and there was no bed for her in the ER, so they told her to lay on a bench in the lobby. She could not even stand to transfer to the bench. No staff helped her transfer to the bench, so she sat there and cried in pain. Ridiculous..
ER waiting room was very ridiculous we got here at 10 :15pm on 7-3-23,, and there were people waiting for more than 2 hours , and they went to ask front desk how much longer they told them it would be at least another hour, it's 1:00 am now and no luck. Little kids waiting to be seen. Very ridiculous. We are still waiting my son was seen right away just for vidals and tests done on him that only took about 20 minutes and we been waiting still since 10;45 in the ER waiting room.
We waited in very DIRTY, smelly waiting room for 4 hours, and then another 2 hours in the care room. All with 2 little children, aged 5 and 2. My 5 year son who suffered severe allergic reaction had to wait for 6 hours to be seen by doctors assistant. What is more, he was prescribed medicine that never made it to our pharmacy. Next day, when i called your number to check on the prescription - because my son NEEDS THE MEDS - i was traded in RUDE manner, i spelled my sons name close to a dozen times, and i was told that "no record was found". I was hung up on. A tulrly disgusting experience. Will never ever use your services again. Will not recommend your network to anyone. And will use every opportunity possible to share my truly awful experience. I was to emergency rooms quite a few times in different states, and i have never had such horrific experience. 0 stars.
This place would rather see you die than see you in a timely manner. Had a severe hand bleed and 2.5 hours in , I had to leave and go to Elkhorn. Either systems are slow or the hospital is understaffed. Go LITERALLY anywhere else. Now please see the "call our patient support line" that will inevitably follow but do nothing to help.
I don't really leave reviews but I had to go here a few days ago and it was a very unpleasant experience. All I did was register and sit. I was rather sick and I didn't even get triaged. My husband took me to a different ER where I was seen immediately. I don't know what's up there but you guys gotta work on it.
Spent yesterday morning in McHenry Hospital ER with my wife, as she experienced a heart issue. We were both very pleased with the response from the Staff there. The Dr. Checked on my wife over a dozen times in the few hours we were there and the Nurses were very responsive to our requests. Been in quite a few ERs over the years and this was one of the best! My wife an RN herself agrees!
I went for a thyroid ultrasound. I had my results the next day. The technician, nurses and receptionist were all professional and kind.
Unbelievably miserable experience here so far. When I checked in, the nurse basically told me I might want to leave and go somewhere else instead. I wish I had listened. Because I've now been here 4 hours - 90min in a waiting room and another 2.5h in an actual room - without any treatment, without seeing a doctor, anything. This place is a disgrace to the medical profession. Now I'll sit and wait for their "please vent to our patient advocacy line!" follow up, as if that has ever succeeded in helping a single person. Edit: 5 hours now, no doctor. Edit: 6 hours now. Treatment like this should be illegal. Edit: 7 hours in and I finally saw a doctor.
We were sent here by immediate care and naturally had a 3 hour wait due to what is going on in the world. The check in staff was so incredibly rude and unsympathetic. The new policy is to have you wait in your car while the patient sits inside. Our first time here they sent him home with his pain at a 7/10 still. He then came back by ambulance at 2am and it is now 6:20 and after sitting in my card for almost 4.5 hours, I was “greeted” again by another incredibly rude and disrespectful nurse when coming to simply check for an update after 4.5 hours. Never again will we ever come to this hospital.
