I definitely recommend planning a trip to visit. The amount of paintings and sculptures collected is breathtaking. The outside garden was stunning, and the staff was very welcoming. I'm still on a high from just being able to experience a snapshot in time from the paintings to the sculptures.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$16–20
A very grown up art museum. Mostly paintings on the upper levels, divided by region and century. The bottom level was largely sculpture and carved bronze, stone and wood statues of Asian origin. There were 2 beautiful outdoor sculpture gardens and the grounds were clean and beautifully landscaped. Small cafe outside with a selection of drinks and light fare. $15 regular admission for adluts
Such a southern California gem. The museum houses six Van Goghs and they're stunning. It's a wonderful collection. Highly recommend spending a few hours here and seeing it in person. Super friendly staff too!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Wonderful place with lots of Masterpieces from all over the World! Must see! Must visit! Highly recommend for all ages and genders!!! The history of art in one place. Touch it, feel it, enjoy it!
A lot of famous paintings in here And this museum is very big! Amazing to visit here The waiter is very nice to everyone I love!
The museum is 15 dollars per adult and children 18 and younger are free. Students are also free with student ID. It's a fun weekend thing to do to take in culture and enjoy art. They also have a cafe out in the garden with chips, flatbread pizza, coffee and beer if you get hungry during your visit.Visited onWeekend
Sixty years in Southern California and this is my first visit to the Norton Simon. It’s a right-sized museum, big enough to immerse in art for hours or breeze through and pick a few works to sit and soak in. Loved being greeted by Rodin’s masterpiece The Burghers of Calais outside the entry, I didn’t know Simon had one! The exhibition featuring June Wayne and the Tamarind Lithography Workshop was excellent, a reminder of the extraordinary art produced over the years in LA. I was especially excited to see John McLaughlin’s Untitled c. 1946 in Simon’s collection, a wonderfully tasty little painting by one of my favorite Ca artists who most haven’t heard of.
Best museum in SoCal. Very familiar paintings by impressionist artists including Van Gogh, Degas, Monet, Renoir, Cezanne and cou tless othersVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$16–20
