This place exceeded my expectations. From start to finish, I enjoyed the art, artifacts the entire exhibition. The pictures taken do this no justice as some of the artifacts are very detailed and you have to see it to believe it. If history is your thing, this is a good place to come get a fix. Recommend to all.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$6–10
It is the best museum I have visited so far In Los Angeles county. However museum is small but you will learn something new. We appreciated the tea & Chinese woman clothes displayed. I would suggest to visit the museum when it is the free day. The staffs working are very friendly and welcoming.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entryFree
Wonderful Asian history museum. There’s a special exhibit on Bali at the moment that was amazing. The permanent exhibits are beautiful, the facility is quiet, and the courtyard is stunning and zen. Discounted or free tickets for USC students, seniors, and veterans. There is a parking lot adjacent to the museum that is free.
Pasadena Art Night have the opportunity to visit this amazing display of architectural photos taken in the 70s & 80s of often familiar LA buildings. Beautiful peaceful outdoor area to relax on benches under the trees listening to flowing water.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entryFree
I had no idea this place existed. Spend an amazing day here with my daughter. Oddly enough, I ran into family when we were there and it wasn't even planned so it turned into a small family event. If you have even the slightest curiosity in asian art, you need to check this place out. The art exhibits are inspiring.
such a beautiful place, i was lucky enough to see their divine immersion exhibit by nick dong, here's a few of my photos. so so inspirational and genuinely makes you think and ponder, can't tell you how many times my jaw dropped in sheer awe
Dropped in to visit the USC Pacific Asia Museum on a Wednesday around 3 pm. No wait, and was able to see all the exhibits without interruptions. Wonder collection of art from different periods and areas of Asia. Awesome gift shop. Free admission for veterans and active duty.
Excellent museum with a beautiful relaxing koi pond in the middle courtyard area. They have a wonderful exhibit called The Box with photos and art utilizing the photos I highly recommend. Love the variety and dates ranges of artifacts from all over Asia. I was extremely impressed by the array of Fair Trade items in the gift shop. Each item is from artisans in the countries represented in the museum. I am a strong supporter of Fair Trade and for the museum to have so many items that benefit artisans with fair, reliable, safe, empowering work, while supporting the continuation of traditional crafts is absolutely wonderful. Great staff and the parking attendees went above and beyond as well. This museum far surpassed my expectations, highly recommend!
1-1.5 hour visit time. Free for all Museum Members, USC faculty, staff, and students with current ID Free for All Visitors Thursdays from 5-8pm and on the Second Sunday of the Month Staff was friendly. AC was too strong, bring a jacket! If you park at the adjacent lot, be sure to ask for an unique quarter at the reception in order to leave the lot. Fight On
Love the fact that there is ample parking at this location. Hours are standard for most museums and they have free admission Thursdays usually. Make sure to come with time if you actually want to understand what things mean. Many people make the mistake of going to museums and not reading or understanding what was going on in specific eras. By giving yourself a bit more time you will understand what the artist is trying to depict.
