Always enjoy coming here with my daughter. Children's area is very well-laid out. Such a wide variety of books, all modern copies. Staff are very helpful, friendly and happy. Used to come for Bounce & Rhyme but daughter is too old. Must book in advance online due to Covid-19. Also has their own toilet and weighing scales. Never used the computers in the main area but the self-service checkouts are very easy to use. Used to use the Cd and DVD section but haven't done so for a few years. Photocopier is near children's area, under the stairs.
The Millennium Library is located at 2 Millennium Plain, Norwich, NR2 1TF, just next to the Norwich City Council building. There are a lot of well organized workshop and activities available free to the public. If you want to improve your speaking English, the "English Exchange" workshops on Mon and Thur would be very suitable. No pressure, just come and join! You can find your ability of speaking English will be much improved after attending several workshops. Highly recommended.
I would like to rate it more than 5 stars given a chance. The library location and ease of accessibility is great. The staff are really helpful and the are following great safety protocols for the pandemic. The collection of books is mind blowing and the ease at which you can Borrow and Return books is the best. Just love the place.
Absolutely amazing place! We have spent hours and hours in here. My daughter loves it! Highly recommend the rhyme time for younger children.
Brilliant public library with a wide range of topics and facilities. Staff are always helpful and kind
Excellent. The lady on the American Library Section was very helpful and went straight to the book I needed. The system for borrowing books is very easy to use too. First time I had used the Library for many years but found it easy and practical.
WARNING TO ALL WHEELCHAIR USERS I parked here to go to the theatre and once we'd parked I used the elevator I use a wheelchair and my wife went down the spiral staircase. After the show had finished and I had made my way to the forum and my wife went back down the stairs as I waited for the elevator. When I looked up at the flashing notice it read out of order. I was stuck until I noticed a security guard, once I'd wheeled myself to him I explained my predicament and he told me that this was a regular ongoing problem since January. He ushered me to the library elevator and went downstairs to unlock it, unfortunately disabled parking was on level -2 but this only other option would only take me to level -1 so once there I had to manually wheel myself across the carpark down the ramp and back across the carpark to my vehicle. I see 2 possible solutions 1 install another elevator or put the disabled parking on level -1. I wasn't happy.
All of the Norfolk libraries are exceptional. However my overriding vote must go to the Mobile Library Service as they deliver superb service to the parts of Norfolk that aren't served anyway else
It's a library, so it's a fantastic place to be!
Have been taking my children there for 10 years at least. It's a great space for children of all ages to read books and relax. They regularly have things going on that keep the little ones entertained. A real asset to the city and its children.
