Novant Health Bariatric Solutions - Charlotte offers you the care and support you need to commit to losing weight and keeping it off. I have waited almost a year to be told my scheduled Surgeon is no longer with the firm. Use my chart they said…. No one answers that thing at all… I have messages that are three weeks old with no answer. I have done everything asked of me to get this going only to hear my surgeon is no longer there and has been gone for 6 months!!!!! Seriously!?!?! I changed from Atrium hoping for a different experience but I’m thinking I should have just stayed with them. Extremely dissatisfied, disappointed, and frustrated…..
This by far has been the longest process for my surgery. I have been waiting a total of 9 months I have recently completed everything just to be told my surgeon is booked until December, December would make a year when I first started this process. Novant has made me feel very unmotivated about having this surgery with them.
I have been under the care of this practice for a few years. I finally decided to get surgery due to the decline in my health. Numerous hospitalizations -one resulting from a prescribed medication. Dr. Ellen Carroro was my assigned doctor that I had never seen for the first time in over 2 years until about 2 months ago. Her initial impression was by far medically insignificant. Her rationale and clinical judgement is at best questionable. I respect medical professionals but I also know when someone is challenged. I tried to rationalize with this doctor, as now I feel as though I fighting for my life. I have since been hospitalized within 2 months following this initial and only visit with this doctor. I am writing because I do not want anyone else to encounter what I have. Practicing this way for me or anyone could cause someone to lose their life. I am extremely concerned and feel as though I have been mistreated.
Very friendly and genuinely caring. Kept well informed and wait time minimal. Care you receive is exceptional
Everything was going really good until my nutritionist appointment ! they called me while I was on the video visit waiting for the doctor to join to tell me they need to collect a payment. I told them hold so I can transfer money and they disconnected. I called back and they took forever for someone to pick up the phone and when they did they transferred me to the front desk and then of course no one at the front desk answered it went to the voicemail. And I logged in online saw the link to pay and paid it and rejoined the video visit and the doc came on and said it’s too late to start the appointment! The appointment was 1 hour long and it was only 10 minutes after the the appointment and they should’ve called before my appointment to ask for a payment not my appointment time. And had to reschedule me and the next available is December!!!! Way too far because I need to have 2 visits. I really needed to have surgery in December because daily will be here to help with the kids. But my question is if I am suppose to go out of country to get it done and I come back with all the information would the bariatric Doctors at this location see me if I have a bariatric problem?
Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I have NEVER been one to share my experiences, good or bad, but this place disgusts me with how they deal with their patients. I have waited 3 months for this appointment. I initially went to my PCP in April for help getting ready for my wedding in October, who referred me Novant Health Bariatric Solutions. First, they sent my referral to the wrong location, then they make me wait another 2 months after waiting a month for a call back, which is fine because they are busy and I understand that. Then, today they call me 2 hours before they close to tell me I need to reschedule my visit for tomorrow because the Dr. will not be there; frustrating, but I can handle that also. So when I call to reschedule my appt that I have been waiting for 3 months to get, they tell me I have to wait another 3 months to be seen in OCTOBER!!! Absolutely ridiculous!! No apologies, no nothing. I highly recommend going somewhere else for your bariatric needs-maybe somewhere that cares about their "patients".
La Quandris Johnson The absolute worst customer service. I regret starting my journey with Novant. I have been calling for almost a month now to speak with my pathway advisor Jessica Dimmer. No one will return my calls. I have left messages for Beth and with their supervisors. Not one person has bothered to call me back. If I wasn't about to be in my third month I would switch to CMC. The ladies who answer the phone don't know anything and don't apologize for anything. They only ask if I would try and send a message through MyChart. Why would I do that if they can't do their job and return phone calls? Once I find out how to make a formal complaint- I will. I would not recommend anyone looking to get bariatric surgery to go through Novant Health. Not to mention having to wait forever to get an appointment and being put on a pointless wait list. Their nutritionist doesn't accept my insurance so I have to pay for her visit out of pocket. I really wish I had read the reviews first.
