I was very hesitant to use the VA as my primary care provider. We have all heard the horror stories from prior veterans about how terrible the service and facilities are. However, I was very impressed with the care I received today during my first visit ever. It wasn’t only a great experience at the VA but probably the best hospital experience/visit I’ve ever had. The staff was extremely friendly yet professional. Dr. A Charles Akhimien was so knowledgeable and caring. He took the time to listen and address all my concerns. The lady who assisted him was great too and I wish I could remember her name. Overall fantastic job guys. Keep up the great work.
Another incompetent group of people working at the VA. Got transferred to someone named Tony so I could enroll at this location, every time I call he tells me he's busy and he'll have to call me back. Rest assured if Tony says he'll call you back, you will never hear from Tony again unless you call HIM back. Then you can be sure he will be busy. Told Tony I moved and I need to re-order my medication. Medication strikes most of us as something important to have. Not our friend Tony. Busy busy busy. So busy he can barley get out a coherent sentence. But its the VA! What more could you expect? Customer Service, some form or care or another. Nah, not for government work
This is probably one of the best VA centers I have been. Surprisingly, treated with courtesy and respect. From my first appointment with my provider to the MRI and Mammo imaging department. Stephanie and Amanda in the MRI department were outstanding and caring. They made me feel like I wasn't being a pain. Stellar! Dessy in the Mammo department was super nice and pleasant and respectful. She made an uncomfortable procedure bearable. I'm also impressed that the VA has 3D imaging to help with better diagnostics. Well done!
Trash. I saw an older vet have an emergency in the parking lot and the staff did nothing. No real doctors here. It’s not a hospital. They send you to Salisbury. The workers in the mental health department all need to be fired. They are unprofessional, incompetent and the inspector general needs to clear them all out. A horrible place.
Phone is unanswered keeps looping to Sailsbury VA . I’m just trying to fill a prescription and even on the automated system it loops around back to main menu. I’ve tried for an entire week 2-3 hours each day!!! This is ridiculous!!!!!
Terrible wait times. Doctors rescheduled me another date when I already had to wait 4 months. The groups I went to were out of control and not on topic. Misdiagnosed my toe issue 4 times already. The place just doesn’t care about the vet.
It varies, some staff are 5 star and some are 1 star. I have had great treatment there and some that is way below min. standards of care. But I've had that happen at Atrium Med. too. It what you would expect from a government run facility...
The efficiency of this location is fantastic. I hardly have any wait time. The staff are always courteous and responsive. I’m so glad I live near this clinic.
I made a virtual appointment for my husband, whose foot is swollen and in pain, for today at 3:30 pm. They called around 3:30 to let him know that his Dr. was delayed with the previous patient and that they will take his call at 4 pm. They said just jump on that same link they sent and that someone from his Primary Care Team will be with him soon. Well it is 4:27 pm. I called back to tell them that we need help because I am not sure what is going on with my husband's foot. They said they will relay the message to his doctor. I have emphasized more than once that his foot is swollen, and he is pain. I took him to urgent care last week and we are still holding for someone to answer this call. UC said that we needed to see his doctor and his doctor seems too busy to answer this call. I cannot believe the total disregard.
Great place, I never had any issues, very clean and people are friendly who say hello
