Novant Health Buddy Kemp Cancer Support Center

Cancer is scary and lonely but thanks to Buddy Kemp and the amazing women who work there Holly and Shannon I feel much more empowered. I don't feel as alone like I did at the beginning of all of this. I was diagnosed at the end of October 2022 ironic, right? I am so thankful to buddy kemp and the staff. they talked with me about everything I was afraid of. They joked with me and helped me not loose my spark. Some days are easier then others but even on my hardest days I know I could always count on them. Never once have they dismissed me or made me feel as though my feelings were not valid. I am so grateful to be able to work with them! I don't think 5 stars is enough. If I could I would give them thousands of stars!! They are amazing!! Thank you guys so much for walking beside me as we concur this monster together!!

I’m very disheartened by the “support” I received from Elyse Adams. I was left all on my own to find my own care after one session. She told me I was “beyond my scope” of training. She simply said, “I’m sorry. I’m sorry.” No concern for helping me find a psychologist since I had searched and searched, but none were accepting new patients. She was my last attempt speaking with any supposed “counselors”. I feel even worse now than even before any interaction with this person. What a total disappointment and frankly an embarrassment to her profession!

Mrs Deborah Smith is my Support Counselor and has been with me through out this journey. I always look forward to my time with her. The support, words of encouragement, and learning the varies ways to deal and cope , while trying to balance life. I just can’t say Thank You enough just being a zoom away

Wonderful location with a feeling of safety, comfort, and welcoming when you walk inside. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Great counseling and support programs for cancer patients. I felt like the counselor knew exactly what to say and recommend for me without having to explain my feelings.

The counseling support here is amazing! Very professional, focused, and extremely supportive.
