I'm very disappointed in this practice. I've had chronic health issues for 13 years and I have found only 1 doctor of rheumatology that diagnosed me with an undetermined connective tissue disease. Otherwise I'm chasing help regularly since he retired and they've changed the laws. Anyway I had 2 previous appts with them and I was stuck in traffic the first time and I called to see if I was a little late if they would still see me and they said no I have to reschedule. Then second time I had a family emergency and cancelled on mychart. Apparently that doesn't count!? So I arrived for my appointment today only to find out that they had cancelled my appt, didn't tell me and had me drive 30 minutes to be told that i had 2 previous no call no shows and that I was no longer able to be seen there. I'm so confused. I'm in so much pain and was really hoping for relief today. So much for do no harm!!!!! Thanks a lot!!! Just what I needed at this exact moment!!!!!!
As a healthy seasoned adult who requires a variety of care needs I always feel as though the care I receive here at Gilead is personalized and the absolute best. I love the welcoming staff, nurses and Dr Gaines. From pediatrics to senior care, they are the best!
There are great doctors at this location. They provide well service and answer your questions when you have any about your child health or any questions you may have for them. Some nurses are great here and there one that always have a attitude like she don't like working there. I have mention my last problem with that particular nurse to the doctor and the front office as well. Other then that I like that it's very close by me as well. My three kids see Dr.Clancy. She is great. !!!!!!
Sharon at the front desk needs professionalism and empathy training. My daughter is two years old and has been a patient of Dr. Whitely’s since she was 5 days old. Our experience with Dr. Whitely has been great these past two years. The ladies at the front desk are always very pleasant and easy to work with until 07/20/21. My daughter has had a temperature of 103-104 the past 3 days and I was advised by the after hours RN to bring her in to see Dr. Clancy because Dr. Whitely was unavailable. We arrived 11 minutes late. Taking into consideration respect for others time, I can understand that there is a grace period however, this is a unique circumstance. This is what I’d consider an emergency. If it were a well visit or not considered an emergency I would have agreed and rescheduled my child’s appointment. Considering the circumstances, I expected for them to at least be able to see my daughter at some point today even if I had to leave and come back later. Sharon was very matter of fact and lacked empathy for a parent who has been up all night with their sick child. Instead of taking my daughter to the emergency room or urgent care I drove 40 minutes to her pediatrician’s office because I trust them and have trusted them with her care since she was born. Sharon stated that there is a 7 minute grace period and 7 minutes after my child’s appointment was scheduled to start Dr. Clancy came out and told her I would have to reschedule for another day. Sharon also shut her glass window and proceeded with a phone call before I was able to finish asking my last question. I’m very disgusted by this experience. Even though they were unable to see my child today, I would have appreciated some empathy but most importantly professionalism. My daughter will not be back to their office and I have already filed a complaint with the NC medical board just for the simple fact that they were rude and I have no clue what could be wrong with my daughter. This was not a check up. My daughter is wheezing, has a high fever, bad cough, and is fatigued. I’d consider this urgent enough to override a rule for 11 minutes. Shame on you all!
The entire staff at this office is amazing! My family and I have been going to this practice for over 8 years. We love all the front office staff, nurses and Josette! The front office staff work to accommodate our busy school schedules and always squeeze us in for sick visits. The nurses even remember which room my son prefers he is autistic and likes the certain color room and ensures that we are in that room. Josette is phenomenal and listens and addresses each of our individual concerns. She is genuine and makes us feel as though we are her only patients. I highly recommend this office!

I called this morning to make an appointment for my two kiddos to be seen and was told that they “were closing early” and when I spoke with the triage nurse she wouldn’t refill the prescriptions unless my children were seen. I asked her for advice about getting medical care for my kids and her reply was “I don’t know- I mean you can just go to urgent care I guess”. She then proceeded to tell me about RSV, the flu, etc which didn’t help the situation considering they couldn’t provide my children with medical care for three days! We will now being looking for a new provider.
I've been going to here since I move to Charlotte area in the last 5 years. I thought they were amazing until recently when my primary doctor retired and I was assigned a new doctor. After getting my new primary doctor this year, I felt like my health concerns were not taken seriously and the nurses that interacted with me were rude. Trying to call in has been harder to reach someone and a nurse had criticized me about not informing them about my situation for canceling an appointment, when the reality for not informing them was because I could not reach them on the phone and rescheduled it online, online option does not give you an option to explain your circumstance if it is other reason. I recently also had to reschedule an upcoming appointment due to the fact that I got tested for covid and the results came back positive. The nurse that I had spoken to on the phone had made it sound like I was a complete liar, questioning the authenticity of my covid test just because I found out about the results the same day they had called me. This same nurse also didn't consult with my primary doctor before calling me about a prescription question that I had and that definitely made me feel like I was not important enough to be heard as a patient. I would have loved to given a higher review for this place but my recent experience here have not be great.
They think only about them, they don’t care if your child is missing school or if you have an insurance issue. They won’t help you. They won’t send the bill you pay first and if you can’t make it for whatever reason your band, they can’t see your. Child. Thank God they did not take care of my son, i want a doctor that accually cares.
I have always had a great experience at this office. From the front desk to the lab super convenient to have a lab right there to the providers to the intake MAs, and nurses, everyone is courteous, professional and take their time to make you feel listened to and important. I have seen both Dr. Gaines and Dr. Chakrabarty and they both ask open ended questions, and actually listen to responses. I recently started to experience a number of unusual symptoms, and as patients do, was perhaps more worried about what "might be" than perhaps "what is". Dr. Chakrabarty listened, reassured, calmed my fluttered nerves, and calmly discussed best case and worse case scenarios. Appropriate referrals are underway, and I can sleep better knowing I have a group of health care professionals that "have my back" and best interests at heart. Thank you!
