Insight
Through NRI's Behavioral Health Performance Measurement System, NRI provides data management and reporting services to over 200 state hospitals and other psychiatric inpatient programs. The BHPMS has met the criteria for inclusion in the accreditation process and is included on The Joint Commission’s list of acceptable systems to compile and submit data in response to The Joint Commission's ORYX® requirement including the Hospital Based Inpatient Psychiatric Services (HBIPS) core measure set.
NRI developed the Inpatient Consumer Survey (ICS) which allows psychiatric facilities to analyze how their consumers perceive their quality of care. Results of the survey are useful for quality improvement initiatives. In 2010, The National Quality Forum endorsed the ICS as "Best in Class" for quality improvement.
NRI is also available to conduct special interest research reports and data evaluation. Staff from NRI are also available to provide individualized technical assistance, as well as speaking engagements at conferences and meetings.
