Material that may suggest or encourage illegal activity.
Trolling or off-topic posts that may disrupt the site’s relevant topics of discussion.
Self-promotional material or personal contact information.
Material that includes or refers to any confidential information or other information which, if disclosed, may be an unwarranted invasion of any person’s personal privacy.
Material that promotes or comments on political activity, or that solicits or promotes any not-for-profit, religious, political or personal cause.
Material that may appear to infringe upon intellectual property rights.
Any information, material, or comments that relate to information which, if disclosed, may violate the rules of conduct governing a Department employee’s employment with the Department, or which otherwise may interfere with the State’s or the Department’s operation of its programs and obligations. This includes, but is not limited to, material relating to civil service examinations, answer keys, appeals, and any other official or confidential information related to an individual’s employment with the State or the Department.
The Department reserves the right to determine whether any content is inappropriate and to remove any content as deemed necessary to maintain the page as a forum for civil, constructive and thoughtful exchange. We also manage the New York State Health Insurance Program (NYSHIP), one of the largest public employer health insurance programs in the nation. NYSHIP covers over 1.2 million State and local government employees, retirees and their families.
