"In 1959 the county purchased 88 acres in North Tulsa County for $50,000 to build Northside County Park. It is the only Tulsa County park in which land was purchased by the commissioners specifically to build a park. Northside County Park opened in 1962 to the public with only six concrete picnic tables. In 1966 the park was renamed to O’Brien Park in memory of District 1 Commissioner Frank O’Brien who made the park a reality.Today, the park covers over 140 acres. It is best known for its baseball complex, recreation center and community garden."

I changed my review on this park because we keep going back and it's really great. They keep it SO clean. The playground is covered during summer so it's not hot and its shaded, there's a splash pad that's cute, a community garden, fishing, disc golf, golf, and probably more I don't know about. Love this place. Never really crowded either unless there's bday parties.
Was there to celebrate with classmates the day before our 50th class reunion
Had a great time on the short course at O'Brien Park!
The only reason why this park is only getting 1 star is their has countless times at the splash pad where a bunch of kids are bullying and being mean to my 5 year old child and the parents of theses kids doesn't do anything or say anything to stop their children for being mean to other kids and today they trashed the splash pad with cups and plates and bloons and they didn't even try to clean up their drove away leaving the splash pad looking trashy. I want my child to feel safe at this park without being bullied and my child is 5 years old. The last time my child was at this park some kid kept throwing sand in her face and once again the parents did nothing.
I love fishing there I just don't like the snakes but other than that a get place to relax and enjoy your family and friends
This park surprise me with the cleanliness and nice park and grass area. Very clean. I would have a family reunion here.
We stopped and made a splash at O'Brien Park Splash Pad. It is open early- May 16, 2022. Hours are 10am - 8 pm. Opening day is Memorial Day Weekend May 27.
We regularly play the practice course here fun, relaxing, people are friendly, and it's decently maintained, and has a new disc golf course that's kinda awesome
I was at a baby shower and the only thing was wrong was it was ants all in the room. It wasn't a great feeling of having ant in the room with cake and food. We put a table in the middle of the room so the ants wouldn't get on the food. The lady said that they have been having problem with ants but didn't notify the party of that problem. Restrooms: Not clean
Huge park. Large grassy spaces and a walking/running trail. Free outdoor gym, golf, and disc golf. Play spaces for little kids, and a little water park. Dog-friendliness: I love taking my dogs here.
