Famous for reason! This place is full pack every time I see it. I was craving for fish n chips and thus went here. Never order a Chowder here, worst experience. However, Bang Bang shrimp was amazing. Quantity was ample but taste was bland. My bad of not instructing them about my spice level. But overall a good tick mark experiment. I am not sure of going back here again. Maybe for a pizza someday!
Visiting family in the area and decided to check this place out based on the recommendations of others. Overall a decent experience. Had a variety of dishes from the menu and no major complaints from anyone. For a "pub" style place, there is a unique menu. The shepherd's pie that I had was pretty good. The drinks are reasonably priced. The service was friendly.
Great upscale family friendly pub. Their insistence on high quality ingredients makes for excellent meals. Their clam chowder and pizzas are my personal favorites. Draft beer is well carbonated and nice and cold. Good wine list as well. Employees are genuinely happy and fun to be around. All around great place to eat and drink.
My husband and I have to travel to the area for medical purposes every few months, and not only does the staff always remembers us...the food is so amazing. I wish we lived closer we would be there weekly. The onion rings, the chowder, the pizza, fish and chips, all the salads... everything is perfect, all the time. The food, the absolute kindness and generosity of the staff really makes this our favorite place.
So the entrance is a little hard to find but once you're in, you're in. It's totally got that pub feel and many rooms for sitting. Staff is friendly and the kitchen did some solid work. REUBEN REVIEW: I AM BACK REVIEWING REUBENS. So lets get the heck into this. We starting off on the bread. That grilled the heck outta it and made that ish DARK. Good crispy. The guts of the sando held well. Nothing too wild. Just a standy randy reuby my guy. Right there. 4/5 HONEY MUSTARD MATCH UP: We're back onto the review of the Best condiment. Honey mustard here? High viscosity and definitely on the honey side. It wasn't crazy but it paired well with dipping the crispy sando. You won't catch me suckin it straight out the jar, but I ain't leaving any in there For real. 3/5 ONION RING OVERTIME: these little freaks are for sure crispy. Not too much batter and not to much ONYON Pronounced just like how it's spelt. They dip well but start to flake near the end. They hold they own. .
It was a very busy weeknight and we lucked out and were seated right away. We had read the menu online and knew just what we wanted to eat, so we quickly ordered. The chicken pot pie was fabulous and my son loved his shepherd's pie. We also both ordered a cup of French Onion Soup which was good, but had rye bread in it not my favorite. Our server was so sweet, attentive and lightening fast. We were seated next to a couple who had already ordered before we sat down a burger and a chicken parm. Our food came long before theirs. They were just getting served when we were finishing up. Their server was surly, unapologetic and kind of rude when they asked for an update on their order. "IT'S BUSY AND THE KITCHEN IS BACKED UP, THEIR ORDER JUST CAME OUT FASTER" yup, that is what she said, but with serious nasty attitude.. So although it wasn't my experience, it did impact how I felt being there. Grateful that we had the great service, felt terribly for the other people. I wish I recalled our server's name. But if I ever go back I'll definitely remember the rude server's face and ask to switch tables.
We have enjoyed both eating at Oharas & getting their takeout for years. Recently I ordered Haddock Leone takeout & my husband, fish tacos. Tacos always v good. But, 1st time I had this haddock. I loved it.Comes with tomatoes, mushrooms, cheese sauce. Very tasty. THANKS to the chef
Great atmosphere with great service and amazing food, what is there not to like. Unique flavor combinations on the menu, and the cornbread is out of this world. you are doing your tastebuds a disservice if you don't come here!
I really enjoy this spot. I’ve come many times and all of the staff are incredible. Super polite, and attentive. My only complaint is the blackened chicken tacos. The queso was cold and the chicken was partially undercooked
Stopped here tonight for the 1st time. Found them from a Google search for top restaurants in the area; not an area we frequent. Parking is an issue, no parking lot, you need to find it on the side of the side streets. Service was ok but not great. They kinda point to the table they want ypu to sit at. I'm sure to the locals that's fine and they're on 1st name base with most. Very busy for a Tuesday night, obviously a popular location. The food was good, portions were good and prices were reasonable; but they can't wait for you to get out so they can seat the next table. They didn't even ask or offer water, a 2nd drink, coffee or dessert.
