Livin' the life of O'Reilly! http://www.oreillylake.com
We are a family-oriented campground with lots of rocks and trees. O'Reilly is a small, spring-fed lake with an island and lots of fish. You can canoe or kayak all the way around the edge in about half an hour (if it's not too windy!), so we don't allow gasoline motors.
We have a couple of paddle boats and canoes you can rent for $7/hr so you can check it all out for yourself.
We have strict noise curfews so that everyone can enjoy their time here, and we love kids! There is an activity for them every Saturday once school is out. We sell candy at a number of different prices so they learn about counting money (sneaky, huh?) - but we will help them if they are having a tough time.
We are pet-friendly, but we require our four-legged friends to be leashed at all times unless they are in the dog run area (near the entrance), or out for a swim. They must always be under your control, because not everyone is a dog person and their rights must be respected too. Dogs are not permitted on the beaches, but can swim to the right of the main beach near the boat docks. Cats can too if they want, I guess. :D
Our drinking water is from a deep well and is treated for extra safety. The camp is spread out so we have three washroom/shower stations - one at each end, and one in the middle. There are a couple of port-a-potties for the in-between spots.
We have hot showers with good water pressure, and a combination of flush and marine toilets. We have signs to help you help us to keep our septic systems healthy.
Our camp store sells ice, firewood, snacks and small groceries. There is a coin laundry behind the store off the arcade. Sorry to say that none of the arcade games are functional at the moment, but we lend life jackets and boogie boards, horseshoes and badminton equipment, and volleyballs, basket balls and soccer balls so you can make your own fun - outside!
We don't have wifi but we do have a computer in the store where you can check your email for a few minutes. That's really not what you're here for, is it?
We have about 40 transient sites, half with power & water and half unserviced. They rent for $37 and $32 a night, which covers two adults and all the kids you can handle (did we mention that we like kids?) We appreciate you calling ahead to reserve so we can make sure your site is ready.
We are 7kms off a major highway, and we do have bugs and critters. That's the kind of campground we are. If that's what you are looking for, we look forward to seeing you. Let us know if you have any questions - we will get back to you as quick as we can.
