We went on a hike on a weekday morning. Please be advised, there are plenty of bugs, so please take precautions. We visited after rains..so the ground was a bit mushy. The place has plenty of vegetation, a short loop and it's nice for an easy hike.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait
Love this place, tucked away in suburbia...a hidden gem. The trails are quite nice, well groomed and scenic in places. You can walk more than two miles here if you do both loop trails separately. Most everything is in the woods, a great place to be on a hot summer day.
Love this place. Great starter trail for young kids. Especially because of the educational posts, the lake/river, the little bridges and the covered bridge and it even has pokemon go gyms and stops. Its gorgeous in the peak on summer so green!
Beautiful park. Sometimes there are some animals in here, like deer. In winter, especially, and fall too, it's hard to follow part of the path. With snow it's hard to walk on due to changing levels. But it's really nice and calm. It's a great place to go and get away. It's also got great trees and lighting for any picture people.
My kids enjoy this short loop hike that is perfect for young ones. There is a little stream along the trail as you begin. The trail leads to stairs down to a walking covered bridge crossing the stream. The loop goes around the pond over bridges, up and down stairs and into a wooded area. There are a few places to sit along the way for a snack or rest. My pedometer says 1.49 miles for the two loops combined. Blue to yellow back to blue
This is the main place me and bandit go this is our norm for the past 6 years..you will always be amazed w the wildlife And the absolute beauty and diversity of nature right in the middle of the suburbs .. Dog-friendliness: It's a trail but it's a nature preserve ..bring out what you take in but take a step off the beaten path and you'll see deer and fish in the brook ....just a nice place not many know about Picnic area: There is a picnic table down the path at the main entrance..I think for the boy or girls scouts ..the trail is easy there is a top trail and a bottom runs by the water to the left of the covered bridge ..better to take that one In warmer weather ..love this place
Very nice hiking trail. Has multiple trails. I followed the blue but there's 2 others I believe. The front has a picture of what to expect when you get there. Nice stream once you start. Beautiful bridge to follow. Everyone there is friendly and dig friendly. Have benches about every 50ft. Simply loved it. You won't get lost, just follow the painted trees
A nice place for a short hike! Been going there for years! Don't be surprised if you run into some deer!
