Major major disappointment. Very dirty cottages, broken railings, wiring hanging from Ceilings and cabinets, broken furniture, fan and vent to stove did not work and was not even hooked up the duct work to it was exposed inside the cabinet with the wiring hanging out exposed with no wire nuts attached. Ceilings has exposed wiring and were cracking with drywall tape exposed. Advertises internet and no internet access unless you want to sit in your car by 1 of 2 buildings. I planned my work schedule so I could work while here. There were also holes in the walls, dishes were cracked, shower had mold, and beds were extremely uncomfortable. Would never go back. To treat military families this way is a disgrace. Military families have high stress jobs and need a place to relax and rejuvenate. The cottage was NOT that place. The beach is beautiful, but God created that, so He did a magnificent job at that.
We stayed for a camping trip! My family and I had a great time! The lighthouse, beach and nature trails are a small walk away! It’s a nice clean environment! The bathrooms and showers were always clean! My family and I made memories that we will cherish forever! We got to experience night fishing, crab hunting and we saw the blue angels fly over the beach!
This is a great military campground. Lots of shade on many sights. Full hookups with laundry facilities on site. The camp hosts were friendly and informative. The west gate is only open during certain hours. Very short walk to private beach that we took our dogs too. Great nature trail that goes from the campground to the lighthouse museum. It is also a short walk to the aviation museum. I couldn't book through the website, so I called. The number I called said to call a different number to make reservations, but that number didn't work. I called back the first number I had called and left a message. Someone called me back within a couple of hours, and I made reservations.
We stayed at the cottages next to the rv park. Loved our time here. It could use some newer furniture, but it looked like it had been freshly painted. It was clean. We had ant problems with our stay but they finally got them under control. The beach was great. Just a short walk down to the life guard area. We sat out each night and watched the sun go down. Very peaceful and relaxing. We also loved watching the crabs. Lol
If you love the gulf and enjoy biking, this area is for you! The campground sites are pretty close together but there is a few sites close to the water. It’s quiet with laundry close by. There’s plenty of wide bike paths to check out the water and base. The WiFi is poor, the cell service is tough too.
This park is situated on NAS Pensacola and limited to holders of current Department of Defense DoD ID.  Some of the sites are a little close, but most are reasonably spaced apart and several shaded by Oak trees. All sites are full hookups and there is a laundry onsite. The staff and hosts are always friendly and helpful, the beach is steps away, the lighthouse, Naval Air Museum and Fort Barrancas a short car ride away.  It is a favorite for our military family; we try to visit at least once a year. Point of note, WIFI is notoriously poor at this location.
Keeping in mind that this is an RV park and not a hotel, I found it thoroughly enjoying and very affordable at 25 bucks a night. It's close to the beach which is hard to beat. It's also has nearby roads that are suitable for biking. There's a lot of cabins if you prefer cabins instead of using your rv. The bath house worked great, I got nice hot water and plenty of it. They also have a small community building which was great! There's a happy hour everyday 4:00 to 6:00 and a fair amount of people come. On the Thursday my wife and I went, it would probably 35 people in there. And, since it was mostly military people, it was a really great crowd for us. It is well shaded, with plenty of space to get your rig parked, on level concrete slabs. They were fixing the wifi while we stayed there... all in all, a solid two thumbs up Nearby activities: Naval Air Museum and the lighthouse. Let's not forget that the beach is 80 yards away...
Always a favorite place of ours to stay. The staff is very friendly and professional. They always do their best to accommodate your requests.Rooms: 5/5
Last minute trip down to Pensacola and ended up staying at Oak Grove Park. So many fun activities; happy hour, bingo and poker, walking distance to the beach, etc. camp host Tony and Rene were working while we were there. They were great; made happy hour and bingo fun, extremely helpful with answering questions during check in and check out. Will definitely return!
My husband and I along with our 9 and 7 yr old have come here every summer since 2014. It's a great place to swim and have fun without alot of noisy campers. The main office and camp hosts are great. The laundry and bathrooms/showers are always clean. We couldn't ask for more.
