This pavilion seats 180. Has electric outlets × many...the toilet facilities are not flushable and no running water. THERE ARE TWO FOUNTAINS AND A SPIGOT FOR FILLING PETS BOWLS However, if you don't mind ROUGHING IT, the scenery is extraordinary.
Huge pavilion or up to a 190 guests. This picnic area is by reservation only. The pavilion has plenty of picnic tables with grills and four barbecue pits. Plenty of parking for all your guests. There is a ball field, a few swings and a walking path around the area. The path also connects to the AP path in Brecksville.
Had daughter’s graduation party here; it was an amazing site. Lots of space, plenty of grills, plenty of picnic tables, and two full sides of a pavilion. Two long serving bars to put all your foods on with plenty of outlets for all crockpots/ food warmers. Swing set area and on-site bathrooms along with all amenities listed on park website. Huge field that allows for lots of outdoor games like cornhole, volleyball, badminton, and much more to all be set up at once. Nearby creek to cool off in if you feel like taking a very small drive down the road from the pavilion. Loved larger parking lot as well and this pavilion is used a lot for weddings. Very well kept and clean site when we had the party in August of 2022. Very well lit at night as well, and pricing is fantastic. Liked the fact that there are two fireplaces and you have to use wood they provide for you. This way you don’t need to have an extra expense of bringing your own wood which is cleaner and safer for the park anyways. There is a running water fountain with an area to attach something to the base of the fountain as well like maybe a hose so this would be good for filling a plastic kiddie pool for younger babies that might get a bit cranky in the heat of a long summer day. There is a list of restrictions but I like that you can have certain alcoholic beverages in the park as long as you’re seated in the pavilion only. Also loved how if needed you can call for a park employee to open the area a little bit earlier for you to prepare the pavilion for your event. Pavilion opens for your event at 10 a.m. but if needed they can open it for you at 9 a.m. if a park employee is available to do so. Also loved some picnic tables were able to be moved so you can set up the area how you would like to but some are bolted in place. I would most definitely have another party here again and for sure would recommend this site to everyone I know for events as well. Almost forgot, very easy for anyone with disabilities such as walkers, wheelchairs, canes and more since it is a bit of a gravel like parking lot leading up to grass and asphalted walkways into the pavilion. One little curb step up from parking lot in some areas depending on where you walk up into the pavilion from. Can’t say enough wonderful things about this site. There was only one downfall to this site and that was when we originally looked at the site before reserving it for the party, there were grates on the fireplaces that you could use to cook on like a bigger open grill, but when we went back to the site a few days before the party, those were gone as if someone had stolen them so I do recommend going and measuring the fireplace and bringing your own grates to set on it if you don’t want to use the tiny grills on site there. You are allowed to use your own grill if you get prior permission for it and you can also pay extra to have food trucks on site as well, which I thought would be a great idea for another event. In 2022 it was I believe $75 extra per food truck which isn’t that bad depending on your budget. It was super easy to reserve the site online as well and I had a few questions and was able to call before reserving and spoke with a very lovely woman who walked me through the entire restriction policy and extra’s that were allowed as well. Pricing is cheaper on weekdays to reserve the site so keep that in mind as well…usually about $100 cheaper…I had my daughter’s party on a Friday and we had the entire pavilion from 10 a.m. - had to be out and off the site by 11 p.m. don’t forget clean up time and it was $150 but if we would have had it on Saturday or Sunday, it would have been $250. Prices may be more now though. A few restrictions seemed a bit strict like only being able to have one small speaker at a low level but this pavilion is off in the back and surrounded by woods mostly so that is a general restriction rule for all of their reservable sites. Most of the restrictions we had no issues even having music up a bit louder as long as we were respectful/considerate of others around us.
My husband and I got married at the Oak Grove last week. The pavilion and surroundings are beautiful, nestled in the middle of the forest. Because it was such an inexpensive venue, we were able to splurge on decor to really get the feel we wanted. We were able to really transform the space well within our budget. Truly, you didn't even notice you were in a MetroParks pavilion- It was magical. Lighting goes a long way in this space. The only real downer is the bathrooms- They're actually very clean and well-maintained, but we opted to rent a luxury bathroom trailer. Overall, I would highly recommend this pavilion- For weddings or any other event. I cannot imagine a better location- Our day was perfect in every way.
Catered an event here, was a very nice and very big place. Would love to do more events here!
Just a beautiful place for a family or work get together!
We went to a graduation party here. It was beautiful and so quiet. Nice area for parking too. It was a very nice place for a private party.
Very good picnic place
