My family had my grandfathers service at Oak Hill, everything was done beautifully and professionally from the very beginning. The staff was friendly and accommodating to my family’s needs and requests throughout the entire process, even up to the last minute before the service. Our family truly had peace throughout the process thanks to Oak Hill’s professionalism. They were truly a blessing during our time of loss.
I’ve been to Oak Hill funeral home many times. It’s been my experience to be treated with nothing less than respect and dignity to the highest degree. The staff, the concern and the dedication to comfort families during a time of adjustment is a blessing to my family when the staff is called upon.
When we arrived at my mother’s burial, the funeral home hadn’t even been there. There was only a hole in the ground, a piece of plywood to cover it and a pile of dirt. There was no vault, tent, chairs, flowers or anything. It was a nightmare.
Oak Hill was fantastic to me and all my family!! 10/10 recommend. John Hobbs was wonderful in accommodating my family and friends for the service of our son. He made us feel welcome and sympathized with us during our tragedy. I could not have asked for a better place to do business with. Thank you all so much! We will never forget the kindness and love you showed us.
I'm sure their services are just fine but the photographs on the internet are mixed with photographs of oak Hill cemetery in Johnson City and oak Hill funeral services of Kingsport unless they're affiliated that should be corrected it's misleading.
Oak Hill staff was very professional in every aspect with my father’s funeral in 1988 and my mother’s in 2003! The care and compassion shown was the greatest! My family wanted to stay and fill my mother’s grave and the director was very supportive in our decision.
The funeral arrangements were good until the graveside service the service was at 11 am I arrived 1 hr early to find no tent no vault no hardware for the casket just a dug grave with a 4x8 piece of plywood covering it we waited 1.5 hrs in the hot sun waiting for answers finally they got a another company by the name of hertigage to come set everything up had graveside service at 12 30 the emotional stress is unbearable definitely will be getting some legal advise
On behalf of Steve.. The feeling is a kind and compassionate one as you enter their door. The whole staff is thoughtful, professional and yet warm. A special thank you to Phil for making Oak Hill such a beautiful and comforting setting.
They just handled my grandmothers service. The people there were as thoughtful & attentive to every need we had. Thank you all for helping our family through this difficult time .
Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services treated my Father with dignity and respect. They went above and beyond. I will be forever grateful. It was a beautiful ceremony. Thank you.
