This is a really fun playground that my kids always enjoy going to. It’s good for a variety of ages, but everything is close enough together that it’s easy to keep an eye on everyone. My one complaint is that the bathrooms are pretty far away from the playground, closer to the tennis courts. We like to park and ride bikes along the river, and then eat a picnic at this playground and let the kids play. It’s also a fun place to scooter because they have a little skate park area.
Plenty of parking. Have to walk by tennis courts for the restrooms the kind of dirty. The playground itself is really nice had a lot of different things for the kids to play on. Really nice being right next to the river. Playground: The playground was really nice my kids had a lot of fun Restrooms: Have to walk by tennis courts for the restrooms the kind of dirty. Picnic area: They're not that many tables here
Here to see Dinosaur Dimensions with the library. The park is great, but unsurprisingly packed on this day. Restrooms: Nice flushing toilets, very handicapped-friendly stall in women's, but you do have to step up into it.
Beautiful park along the river with everything for the entire family to enjoy.
Connects to river trail. White water park. Fine isle . Boat ramp. Picnic area. Some off shore fishing. No swimming. Limited bath room. Walk down River drive. Farmers market. And 212 uwmc.
Beautiful park, birds, the view of the river, especially at sunset, picnic tables, grills etc., Walking trails, the new playground where the kids & adults too can have a blast playing on the new equipment, it's awesome. There's also a smaller skate park skateboards, rollerblades, whatever area too. Everything is really quite lovely. There's also a fenced in tennis court. On the other side is a pretty bridge, that leads you to the trails, there's also the boat ramp, where you can take your boats out or kayaks, or tubes if you want. The park is huge. The only negatives that I can take think of is is when the mosquitos come out to play too. LOL and the location of the restrooms. The park is large though too add an additional bathroom, or at the very least a couple of potable potties. Just a suggestion. Playground: Very nice newer playground that kids of all ages can enjoy, adults too. No rocks or sand, very soft mat material to walk on in the play area. I really like it. Downside is, there is no shade where the playground is located. So it gets hit directly by the sun, so the slides for example can be very hot and burn the childrens skin... Not a major burn but anything's possible depending on the child's skin condition but really just a hot surface, hot enough to hurt. So if you plan on going out there for a couple hours or however long, please use sunscreen on your kiddos & yourselves too. And before sending them down the slides, maybe feel them first. When the sun is bright and it's a hot day out. Restrooms: The restrooms are real bathrooms, one side for the guys, the other for females, both with sinks and running water. Not Portable Potties. The times that we've been out there, which has been many times over the years, the bathrooms have been clean most of the time & stocked with tp 'usually'. However, I always bring a roll of my own TP if we plan to spend the day or several hours out there just in case. The downside to the restrooms are the location. They are located at the very entrance of the park. A white painted brick building. It is the only restroom. So if you're out at the playground for example with your little one and they need to go or you do, it's a little walk to get there... So if you got to go, don't hold it for too long or you might not make it in time. There have been times where we were walking the trails in the woods and I had to go so bad that I knew I wouldn't make it back to the bathrooms, so I had to squat . Dog-friendliness: Lots of open space for dogs to run and play, there are also trails, however dogs should be on leashes as this is not considered a dog park even though dogs are allowed. But if there are no other dogs present or children or elderly nearby, I wouldn't see no harm in letting your dog off the leash to run free in the field area. But only you know your dog and their behavior. So keep that in mind. And be cautious. Picnic area: Many picnic tables spread out there's a sheltered area with picnic tables underneath. I think if you want to have a big party or something, you can call the city and reserve it, otherwise it's a free for all. Whoever gets it first gets it. If my memory serves me right, there is an outlet for electricity, for music, but honestly I do don't remember. Next time we go, I'll check it out and update this.
Park is beautiful, although there are many mosquitoes on hiking trail.,wear full sleeves
Great big park to bring kids! Beautiful and clean surroundings.
Lots of fun things to do and lots of other kids for the kids to play together. Fun time good people. Kids loved hunting for frogs, looking at them, and setting them back nicely.
The new playground is great for 5-12 yr olds... or even a 1 and 3yr old in the rain! Lots of serious climbing for older kids. Extra soft layered, rubber turf. And 4 swings. The orange fencing is just to protect the new grass around the park. It's only temporary.
