Professional, caring, well organized. They were able to guide me through my husband’s funeral during the pandemic, and a severe snowstorm. Every detail of the viewing was masterful. They were able to safely and respectfully coordinate all the arrangements with our clergy, our large extended family and my husband’s extensive history of public service. They even live streamed the funeral so that all our friends and family could be present from the safety of home. Choosing a funeral director and service is so difficult when the time comes. Oakland Memorial was absolutely the right choice for me.

Oakland memorial Home is a very comforting and professional Home. They were caring, compassionate, and courteous. They took excellent care of us and we never felt rushed or like we were simply a check. The service in the chapel was done extremely well, especially in these days of COVID-19. I highly recommend them to all who unfortunately need their services.

The services at Oakland Memorial are simply phenomenal. Joe and the staff are very caring and compassionate to the bereaved while remaining outstandingly professional and efficient. My mom looked beautiful and seemed like she was simply dozing. The memorial service at their chapel was very well organized and perfectly executed. Our family in the Caribbean was able to view it live via the Oakland Memorial website. The final resting place was in St.Kitts/Nevis in the Caribbean and due to COVID-19, there were many issues getting her remains there. Joe and his team resolved every problem and made it happen. My mom was able to be in her country on time for the scheduled funeral services there. My family is so thankful and will be eternally grateful to Oakland Memorial for their unparalleled services.

This was our first experience having to deal with making arrangements for the passing of a loved one. Other family members had utilized Oakland memorial so we thought we would do the same. The communication from Oakland was lacking and no real cost of the financial situation was ever disclosed. We had to ask... we were given a cost of nearly $6000 for cremation alone !! We googled the cost and contacted others after the fact unfortunately and found Oakland to be nearly DOUBLE the cost of same services by other reputable homes. We will not recommend them to others and strongly advise others to seek costs elsewhere before making a commitment to Oakland memorial.

Unprofessional and disrespectful handling of a delicate family situation. Arranged a private viewing for a family member for or a short amount of time with Joe. Needless to say my wishes were not met and the time spent with the family member was not private and very uncomfortable.

Incredibly sleazy funeral home that only cares about making a profit off of your loss. Money grabbing, unprofessional, and dishonest. Couldn't be more disgusted with this facility.

The chapel is nice enough, thankfully I haven't had to engage their services personally.
