Loved my former physician who has since left. Was placed with a brand new physician as everyone else had a waiting list. I figured maybe having someone fresh out of residency would not hurt as they would be more up to date and progressive with their practices, which I am all for. Unfortunately my visit only lasted about ten minutes and I was really just unwarrantingly told that I should probably try to lose some weight. Official decided to part ways when I contracted COVID and was still suffering from horrible long-term symptoms, including shortness of breath and a chronic reactive airway, six weeks later. Was unable to get into the PCP so I booked a next day appointment with one of his colleagues. First words out of her mouth were: "So let me get this right, you came in today for a virus you had six weeks ago?" She clearly completely ignored the complications and symptoms I had just listed off to her, and told me I would need to get a chest x-ray to confirm any complications and basically hung up the virtual video call. Thankfully I am in very good health and have never been in the hospital or ER before. I typically only go to the PCP once every 1-2 years for my physical and bloodwork. But after this experiences I do not want to return. It really just made me feel like a bother.
Dr. Paul Malick is my Physician ‍ and what a pleasant and knowledgeable person he is. He is very attentive to your issues and listens very well! He is very thorough and cares for you as a person! It is a pleasant experience coming here for an examination. Dr. Malick’s staff is very friendly and helpful also! His Physician ‍Assistant is very personable. This is a “Great Experience” all around!
I got competent service at Beaumont Medical in Southgate but I arrived early so I was processed early. My reward was going back earlier and waiting in a hospital robe in a hallway of a room with another person who had arrived on time. A TV was blaring the whole time and I had no control. If you are sensitive ask to not go back before you absolutely have to. It’s not pleasant and unnecessary. The front waiting area is better.
Not sure why all the negative reviews. My experience was entirely positive. Had an appt Saturday morning. Was seen on time. Staff was professional and friendly. Special shout-out to Barbara in radiology who went above and beyond helping us out by printing out my moms test results.
Updated review: I have been a patient here for over three years now and am more than five-star happy to have chosen this as my primary care facility. Dr. Perlson is one of the most thorough, patient, and kind doctors I've ever had. The nurses and office staff are great as well. The lab for blood draws is right in the building which is really convenient, and the staff there is also very nice. Are there waits sometimes? Of course. I've rarely been in a medical setting where there isn't though, except places where the doctors shoo you out the door at a given time regardless where you are in the process of discussing your concerns. And who wants that? Absolutely recommend.
My service dog has been coming with me for my quarterly blood work for over 2 years. I have never had any access issues, until today. I entered the building and stopped at the front desk to check in. I was asked what I needed, I said blood work. Instead of asking the 2 federally allowed questions, he proceeded to tell me that my dog could not go in with me. I responded that yes he could and when I got back from the bathroom another man was telling me that my dog was welcome to be in the building, but not in the actual blood draw lab. This is against the federal ADA law. The lab area is not a sterile environment as we can wear our street shoes in. Not sure when the "policy change" that I was told about happened, but regardless, it goes against federal law. I was eventually able to have my service dog with me for my blood work, but not after some stern words. Once we were in the chair for the blood draw oh, there were absolutely no questions or issues.
Being a mother of four I started out here many years ago 22 years in their pediatrics with Dr Dagnew when she was just new and I absolutely love her. My oldest now is 30 years old and has her own daughter 7 and takes her to see Dr Dagnew. We love her! Some times the wait can be longer than we want but things happen and she always takes her time with us, always caring and always diagnosed correctly. We love that they offer same day appointments. Now that my little ones are not pediatric age we see Dr Sungrulu across the hall referred by Dr Dagnew and my two daughters and I love her. Pharmacy always has a quick wait time. I have never waited longer than 30 mins. Staff in all areas has always been kind and helpful. I have never waited longer than 20 mins in the lab and warn them I am not good with needles and they care to make sure I am ok. I have not had a bad experience in there ever...all the girls have been good at getting a vein without digging. It is nice to see the same doctor for so many years and have that relationship which wouldn't have happened if I was not 100% happy with the treatments of my children. Thank you doctors, nurses and staff for being so great. God bless!
Went in for blood work . I was called in fairly quick. The problem was not the wait time it was the bad attitude the lab tech had. She was very rude! I won’t be going back there. I understand a business like this gets busy and the lab techs can get overwhelmed. That is not an excuse to be rude to patients.
I've been coming here 3 years to see Dr. Singurlu. She is spectacular! Always gives you plenty of time, never makes you feel rushed, and amazingly is never behind schedule I don't think I've ever waited more than 30 min, and I've had no problem with same day appointments. She includes you in decisions about your health and encourages/supprts you to stay healthy. The urgent care was wonderful the one time I had to bring my son in, we walked right in and were on our way home in less than an hour I know I was lucky there was only one person ahead of me. The pharmacy was nice and efficient the one time I had to use it.
The best doctor's office in town I go to see my family doctor there Dr Paul Malik and I do physical therapy there. You can get X-rays ultrasounds broad samples you can do almost everything right there in one building great place
