Beautiful, clean building. Many hardcover books, paperbacks, lots of DVD movies, audio books and childrens section. Super nice staff. Love free reading, Thank you Oakwood!!
I borrow a lot of books for myself and my four boys…40 at a time maybe. I live out in the country so I don’t go into town often so I’ve been late returning them. One time I brought all my books back except for one…ONE. The librarian refused to let me check out books until I came back with the 1 book because it was late. I hardly ever see anyone in that library…only boys playing video games or an occasional older person. I don’t understand refusing to lend books when hardly anyone comes in there to borrow books. With 40+ books…yes…there’s always the one elusive book I cannot find but I eventually find it and return it. This is a small town library. My kids are adopted and have Mexican or African heritages…I have wondered if that was the real reason behind not lending me the books. I felt so unwelcome there, I stopped going. Also I highly encourage you to ask them how they are addressing the rising problem of bedbugs being found in borrowed library books across the nation.
Love our library,it saves me time and money, love that I can pick out what I want on line and they let me know when I can pick it up!
I believe this is the best small library in the state . Great staff ,always pleasant and helpful . Very lucky to have this library available !
