High school seniors with identified disabilities apply for 1 year internships at Oasis Cafe to gain hands-on food service and hospitality skills as well as exceptional customer service skills.
Upon graduation, the interns enter the job market with a solid resume' and references to support their search in today's job market for competitive employment.
The Oasis Cafe' is the creation of many thoughtful and hard working individuals who came together to build a small coffee and sandwich shop on behalf of of the students.
The Montgomery County Government teams, the CMCSS Operations team, the Tennessee State Department of Special Education and the local Lowe's Heroes Project made this corner cafe' a reality.
