You gotta eat this to believe it. Oatrepreneur Phil Sky has been trying to invent an easy way for busy people to eat oatmeal—real oatmeal, not that pasty instant stuff in the little paper packs that you add hot water to—since before oats were the “it” food.
Phil wanted a true oat product with great whole oats, grains and fruits that did not require a spoon and bowl. It had to be “dashboard friendly.” It had to be a breakfast or snack that was not some crumbly product struggling with an identity problem—stuck between that no-man’s land of half cookie half breakfast bar with terribly compromised nutrition, texture and taste. And so the quest began.
The early batches of Oats to Go were Oh so Chewy. The next round also did not require spoon but it did take two people to carry a serving. Finally after patience, perseverance, determination and for the love of the grain, he got it just right!
