My husband and I have been going to this office for about 20 years. Every single one of the doctors are wonderful.I love nurse Peg, she is a gem. They are thorough kind caring, they follow through and call you with your blood work, and I think that it is a very very well run office. I would never change
Dr. Todd Schmoll is the ultimate Doctor. He’s kind, caring and empathetic. He listens to you like you’re a family member and his passion for improving people’s overall health is commendable. I highly recommend Dr. Schmoll to locals and visitors alike.
I was a patient here for 4 years, and it was my first Primary Care Physician. I thought it was great at first. It pains me to leave a review like this, but for the sake of others in the future, I must leave this here. I recently left the practice not because of the providers, but because of their staff, who needs to pay better attention to detail... Such as when their patient is having frequent panic attacks, to relay the message correctly. Instead... The staff lacks empathy, communication, and understanding. One would think, that the receptionist would relay suicidal thoughts, insomnia, panic, ideations, etc. There have been times I had Friday afternoon appointments cancelled by office with no reason that I had for a month and a half to two months to check up on my anxiety medication.... And they are not willing to fit you in for a telemed, you really need to beg for it. There were times that my generalized anxiety disorder were blatantly ignored, and in fact, I was prescribed the same medications over and over even though they gave me suicidal dreams and negative reactions... I have spent more time feeling unsatisfied, than satisfied. Not cool that I have been dealing with this for so long. I spent too long, feeling like my primary office dismissed my statements and didn't care at all. Playing phone tag leaving voicemails hoping for an answer to a question from a couple days ago... Only for the original question to have been passed along, incorrectly... Not the care I was looking for, not the fit for me, I need a Primary Care Physician who cares about my mental health, thank you very much. I'm glad I found a new primary, elsewhere,that listens and cares. Good luck on your search for primary care.
Dr. Todd and Dr. Cindy Schmoll are wonderful and their nurse practitioner is excellent. The office staff has a few issues, but the high quality of services provided by Drs. Schmoll make up for it.
My husband and I had a great experience with Ocean Medical and specifically Dr Todd Schmoll. Unfortunately we needed his services while on vacation. First thing Monday morning they took us fairly quickly without an appointment. After examination, we were sent to the hospital for additional tests which resulted in admission. In my experience even with home Drs that would have been the end of it. The next day we received a call from Dr Schmoll in the hospital room to check in and see how he was doing. It was not a receptionist, a nurse or an aide. It was the Dr himself. If you are a local, I hope he is your regular doctor. If you are here visiting, he is someone I would definitely trust.
This practice is the best by far when it comes to Drs who take the time with you, explain, listen and follow up with all records, blood work, and other Drs for more urgent matters. All 3 Drs are wonderful including the nurse practitioner. Highly recommend
The Doctors and staff at Ocean Medical are the BEST.
