Super friendly staff. I mostly go to the library to print things now a days. Because I value the ability to go to the library and check out books and audio visual equipment and use the internet I always get a library card when I move to a different town. It's just one of those things all adults and children should have. In my opinion. This library is great. It's less than a dollar per page to print. Unlike the UPS store. It cost $2 a page there. The library is better and they have better privacy and security. And there is always a computer open. This one is clean and they have a nice variety of books. It isn't as big as the central library but its still nice.
An almost decent book selection but otherwise poor quality facilities and very poorly trained ataff. Maybe I've been privileged with good libraries in life, but by any standard this place is pretty pitiful.
Really fantastic library. It's easy to access, has great staff, and provides a multitude of accessible options for kids to learn AND have fun. Great experience.
This library was two blocks from our vacation rental. Staff was helpful and welcoming. The building is lovely and the kids book collection is interesting and varied. Check their kid activity schedule - the have lots of good stuff happening - Lego time, arts and crafts, a great option for rainy days or when need some time out of the sun and you've played all the beach rental board games you can stand.
I love this library! People with problems with homeless people shouldn't be so quick to judge. The homeless are greatly misunderstood. I've been homeless at times in my life. Recently in fact. I am slowly discovering all of the wonders of a modern day library. Books that you don't have to store in your home. Online reservations and even a drive-thru for us lazy Americans. I discovered a few months ago, you can also rent movies. New releases. The library is one of my own personal most exciting discoveries in a long time. If they don't have a certain title, you can request it, which I have. They order them too. The system works! I'm also glad that they DO allow homeless people to come in and use this place too. BTW, there is another actual homeless day shelter nearby. So, the homeless HUMANS you are referring to are actually using their minds and enjoying the free resources like all of us. WOW, what a concept. Librarians are extremely patient with my inane and pretty dumb questions at times. Thank you!
The people were very helpful and patient just very nice experience
The library itself is great. It's small and gets the job done. It's patrons however, are not. About 80% of the people here just come in and hang out for the a/C. Some parents drop off their kids and leave them unsupervised for hours at a time while they go run errands, take a nap, look for today's fix, etc. This places' management should grow a set and get rid of the loiterers. As of now, this is more of a really nice homeless shelter with free Wi-Fi and wierd paper things on shelves, than a library.
Great experience here, staff is personable and helpful, helped get us set up with new library card. Thank you.
The private study rooms are amazing to study in, however, even if you go into one of these rooms you still can't get away from all the kids screaming. Kids scream and run around this place like you wouldn't believe. Every time I'm here it's like this. I thought a library was suppose to be quiet. I'm listing to kids scream right now as I type this.... **Be sure to bring earplugs!**
Everything you want in a library. Friendly staff, great kid area, DVD, Audio Books. Computers, magazines, newspapers. Nice area of the ocean front.
