I LOVE this store! I've gotten tons of great clothing here for me and my fashion conscious highschool daughters! If I need something this is the first place I go! The only thing I've not seen a big discount on is the shoes! But everything else is priced low! $40 jeans for $10!! I bought $800 worth of clothes for Xmas for my girls and paid $160! We love it!!!
Be sure to plan to spend some time here since there's so much to look at! Prices are listed by a colored dot on the tag, which is nice. Some prices are amazing deals, some are just OK. Be sure to check over what you're considering to purchase - some items are returns from a Kohl's store that have actually been worn.
Cheaper than Kohls, but is comes with a cost. You may find clothes that you really like, but look over each item carefully. And I mean CAREFULLY. I purchased an item, and there was a hole going up the seem. My mother purchased a shirt, then realized that there were three holes in it. I found several shirts that I loved, but while I was inspecting them I noticed holes in the fabric. At the checkout the cashier noticed a hole that I had previously missed. Double check everything before purchasing.
Off/Aisle is by far one of my favorite clothing retailers. They have a great selection of styles for masculine clothing and all for a low cost. I don't live in the area any longer but when I visit, I do make sure to make a quick stop to do my clothes shopping while I'm in town. They also have a great selection of home goods and other products outside of clothing.
Rotating specials, you can get some good deals like any jeans for $10 or $4 sweaters or ladies tall boots - it just depends on the day and what they have at any given time. I have come here several times looking for childrens shoes and there was absolutely nothing available in their size. Good place to go if you're looking for adult clothing, especially at end of season. Home items are hit or miss, you might find something great you're not looking for but if you go looking for something specific such as a duvet cover or a particular pan, you might not find it.
Loved shopping here since it opened. Ever since they changed the dots to their new pricing structure, it isn't nearly as much of a value. Sometimes you can find good deals but not nearly as often. I went to a Kohls store earlier today also to try and find some dress shoes. Didn't find anything at all that I liked. They appear to have also discontinued the Chaps brand! I went into the store earlier and all I could find was "levi", "lee", and "wrangler" brand jeans. I see myself cutting all ties to this company shortly.
I like the store, but if you're wanting something specific you might want to go to kohls itself or somewhere that carries various sizes/colors etc in whatever it is you're looking for. There are a lot of home goods so I did find that to be a plus. The layout itself is comparable to TJ Max. The prices were fair. Not a good selection in the shoe area...I was hoping to find more to purchase because I had some extra money, I just couldn't find much I liked, the things I did like I couldn't find in my size.
There are bargains to be found if you watch what your are buying, remember this is where Kohl's sell all their returns. So check for pieces and damage. I do think as others have said that since the pricing structure changed that things are higher priced now.
Being mostly returned goods the quality can be hit or miss and the dot style of pricing is a little arcane brown =$70, pink =$40, etc. but it's a great place to find some diamonds in the rough at low prices. Be sure to give everything a good look over, especially with home goods. They provide tables and outlets so you can be sure everything is functional before you take it home. Also, Off-Aisle now accepts returns for like priced items, though the return window is short.
From a guys perspective, it was just OK. First of all, I think it's a great way of dealing with returned merchandise. You may even consider it noble given the waste that unfortunately happens in this country. Unfortunately, many of the items are about the same cost or slightly higher compared to a kohls store's clearance racks, and you can't use your discount coupons and kohls cash. If you don't have a kohls charge card, and are looking for deals, this place is for you, but if you're like me, and love the benefits of the kohls card, it's best to just skip on going here. Don't get me wrong, its a great idea, a nice store that I'm sure people will enjoy, but it's just not for me. I hope this helps anyone looking at stopping in at the new shops on sunset.
