Great experience! Greeted or acknowledge by every employee, either with an offer for assistance or just a simple “hello” and a smile. When I needed help looking for a projection screen they didn’t point somewhere over there, but walked with me and then asked a couple of question to determine what I needed. Then they picked it up and carried to the counter and offered to take it to the car. I wish that happened more often everywhere. That’s the first time I had visited an Office Depot and what a terrific experience…
Don’t usually go here or have much reason since other stores are closer to my work. But when the wife starts freaking out that she doesn’t have any printer paper left and needs to print stuff for tomorrow morning; I was definitely glad this was close and still open last 7:30 at night. And for that I am thankful.
As a recent shopper in the Greenville Office Max, I was pleased to find just the right CD cases I was looking for, and at a good price. It was a pleasure checking out, too, as the cashier who assisted me was courteous and helpful. I would recommend this Office Max to my friends and family.
I will never purchase anything from Office Depot again due to the horrible customer service I received from the Greenville, SC store after my husband had back surgery and he needed a chair that would lift high enough for him to sit and be able to get out of. The manager at the local store took no responsibility in the miscommunication from Office Depot, offered no apology, placed blame on me for “not reading all the details” and whose solution was to refund me my money. This was an online purchase for a pre assembled office chair with 20 minute pickup- it was 2 hours after I received the email that my order was ready for pickup that I left to get it, leaving my post-op husband alone at home. The chair was not ready. The manager could have arranged for same day delivery we were still in that window of opportunity and sent someone out to assemble the office chair for us, either at no cost or at a discount from the $75 onsite assembly fee, but he didn’t. Instead his solution was to refund my money. Which is what he did. Given the circumstances, the lack of empathy, or any kind of understanding and ownership of the fact Office Depot has processes that created a scenario where a customer gets incorrect information is totally unacceptable. As it turned out, I was able to get a like kind chair from Staples with a 2 year warranty for only $5 more. MOST importantly, I received compassionate customer service. That reason alone will keep me out of Office Depot.
If you're needing to make a return, store will only honor half the purchase price, even with a physical receipt. I purchased a new Swiss Backpack 609590 a few months ago. I maintained the receipt and other retail promotional tags. I returned the product with the original receipt, purchased 12/30/2022. Return executed 5/15/2023. Recently, one of the should strap buckles broke. Instead of dealing with Swiss' 5 yr warranty, I decided to return the bag, being a recent purchase. During the return, the Manager failed to explain several things before completing the return transaction. The manager processed it without much questioning other than the reason for the return, I showed her the broken shoulder strap, and she proceeded with the return, holding my receipt in her hands. She didn't offer to exchange the item, which given the outcome, I might have considered. Wrongly, I assumed the amount would be refunded to my credit card, and that would be that. Despite having presented the original paper receipt, she processed the return as "Return -Receipt Not Present", and refunded half the amount to a "Return Card". When she said a "Return Card", I misunderstood her to mean she would return the amount to my card, not a 'Return card" which is actually a Gift Card. So I was surprised when she handed me a gift card, and the transaction couldn't be reversed for some reason. I knew when I had been beaten, so I took the card with a mild complaint, and vowed never to use that store again. She misrepresented two things before I could halt the process.. one- she never warned me I would only receive HALF the money back, even with a receipt. Two.. that my money would be returned to my card.. After I use the credit on the 'Return Card' aka gift card, I will avoid this store location going forward, and Office Depot and OfficeMax in general. Your manager was clever, deceitful, and you've shortchanged and gipped the wrong customer. PS The store appearance is grim, to say the least. It's a grey dank store, uninviting, and I am sure it must be a dreary place to work
Great store! I was there on 4/1/23 visiting from New York. I went there to get a charger for my daughter with a USB on it and the lady at the register was so helpful! I got the wrong charger and she did a great job of handling the situation. She was very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. She needs to be a manager, because she had to ask the young lady to put in her code to override my purchase. But, it didn't work and so the lady helping me figured it out. She is management material. The store was neat and well kept. Thank you again for the help.

terrible customer service and support paid for 3 chairs they only had two then too 5 days to refund my money i will not use them again !
A great experience today . Dee Store Manager helped me find what I needed and also ordered additional items I needed sent direct to me. Rebekah at front counter was very nice to me when I first came in returning used ink cartridges for credit before shopping and then again was super nice and professional upon my final check out.
Office Depot website business service of creating business cards is awesome. Knowledgeable, courteous staff is easy to contact via online chat, e-mail, or phone, when you need a question answered. O.D. had everything we needed to set up our books for the new year, 2023; a real time-saver because I was able to find everything on my list without having to stop at multiple stores. The store is clean, organized, and the staff is friendly.
