Ogden-Hinckley Airport is a city owned, public use airport located three nautical miles (6 km) southwest of the central business district of Ogden, a city in Weber County, Utah, United States. It is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015, which categorized it as a general aviation reliever airport. Formerly known as Ogden Municipal Airport, it is billed as Utah's busiest municipal airport for private planes.The airport is served by an FAA control tower with radar approach services provided by Salt Lake City TRACON.HistoryDuring World War II the airfield was used by the United States Army Air Forces. The airport serves general aviation aircraft consisting of private and business aircraft, charters, sight-seeing, air ambulance, and flight training.In September 2012, Allegiant Air commenced non-stop scheduled service to Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. Prior to this service, the closest airport with scheduled airline flights is Salt Lake City International Airport, located approximately 30 miles south. In the event the Salt Lake City International Airport closes or has to turn away aircraft due to circumstances such as weather conditions below landing minimums, Ogden-Hinckley is capable of accepting diverted commercial flights.

place was lit, saw an airplane take off. I've never cried so hard before

I like small airports, usually less crowded, more relaxed.  But in spite of the rating,  it's an airport and the seats are not overly comfortable. But parking is very close to the terminal doors,  so less distance to wrestle the suitcases.  While I don't know for sure,  it also appears surprisingly that non passengers can get close to the ramp gate to welcome the incoming passengers - but they can't to see them off once the outbound passengers pass through TSA no surprise there.  Also,  incoming passengers pick up their luggage in the parking lot outside the terminal near the parked cars. Again,  little suitcase wrestling.

Smooth experience, checked our bags quick and boarded quick. I accidentally left some lotion in my backpack and they put it in my checked bag for me.

Each time we were getting ready to fly out of  Ogden, something always happened, so we finally made it! Cute, old-school, friendly and welcoming staff. Feels like time traveling.

Easy access from I-15. Came to meet a 737 commercial flight from Burbank, CA. Passsengers were on the terminal's front steps outdoors awaiting the baggage train to roll by out front so they could grab their bags. This is a very small airport with loads of potential for those who'd like to avoid SLC's half-mile walk to the gate. Think: early  Provo Airport years ago.

Cutest little airport! Great service and good food!!

We love using this airport. Parking is cheap and convenient. Checking in is fast and simple. It isn't crowded. Baggage claim is outside on the north side of the entrance. With cold weather I would wait inside the front doors until you see the tug pull up.

A great little airport! But it needs better signage as people have a hard time finding TSA and baggage claim. It is clearly marketed baggage claim is outside. But when you go outside you are not sure where it is. So people come in and out if the building asking where baggage claim is. A dedicated area and sign outside would eliminate this issue

This airport is small, relaxed, the people are super friendly you can talk to anyone while waiting to pick up your loved one. It's nostalgic, I love that you come down the ramp and onto the tarmac. The TSA is super friendly, the overall ambience takes you back to when we we're just a more friendly Society.

Pilots and people at the airport are great, can't say the same for the City Council, mayor or management. State level Lawsuit underway,  hangar building owners against the city, city wanting to seize hangars without just compensation and legacy land lease rights and contract precedences. Initially federal court but now switched to state court. Should have significant results in court within 3-6 months.
