100% recommend this office for pediatric dental care. Today was my 2 year olds first visit to the dentist and it went amazing. Jenny the hygienist came right out to the waiting room and got down to my toddlers level and immediately was interacting with her and looking at books while speaking to her dad and I. When we got back to the chair she took the time to show my daughter all the tools on the tray, what they do and how the chair worked. When it came time to actually count and clean her teeth, she was very patient, calm and reassuring. When she was finished she gave my daughter a high 5 and told her how great she did. It was a very pleasant experience and I’m so glad we chose the Ogden dental group for our daughter.
After waiting over a month and a half for our appointment , his very first visit to the dentist did not go well. As young children it’s very important for the hygienist and doctors to be patient and understanding to the child’s fears and concerns. I guess going to the dentist isn’t always supposed to be easy , but the way that they made my son AND me feel , was unacceptable. Of course I know they have a job to do , clean teeth and address the problems , but there’s GOT to be a friendlier and more pleasant way to introduce kids to the dental health experience. There was another dental assistant present , who seemed to chime in and make my son smile a little more. Was playful and explained things even from off the sidelines . I wish we had her instead. Our teeth cleaner talked with a thick accent muffled through a mask. It was a traumatic and scarring experience for us both. We didn’t even finish our appointment . We left .
This place is an absolute joke!!! They have zero empathy, compassion or patience for children because of this dentist my daughter has severe anxiety when it comes to the dentist. Last time we were here they were so rude and got attitude with my daughter for crying and basically told her if she didn’t stop they had to move in. How unprofessional and then my other child they improperly sealed and neglected her tooth. We kept telling them it was getting worse and they did nothing about it
Worst dentist EVER! When i first found this place 2 years ago it was amazing! The staff was amazing. All of a sudden i went back and the whole staff was new, i dont know who does the hiring here but they really messed up this whole practice.. they are all rude! Ive been a secretary before and I couldn’t imagine talking to patients like this .. 2 staff members we actually arguing during my daughters cleaning… these people have literally rescheduled every single appointment for all 4 of my kids! They dont care about the patients.. if the dentist cant handle it she needs to think about finding a replacement dentist who cares about their business!
Arrived 10 mins before 8a for my son's filling appointment, scheduled and confirmed for 8a. I waited outside, ringing the doorbell, calling the office, etc. until 8:20a and they never opened. All the lights were off in the building. I called around 9:20a and they finally answered. I was told that the doctor told the employees not to arrive until 9a today because they cancelled their 8a appointments, due to being short staffed. Obviously, no one ever cancelled my appointment with me. The woman I spoke with was condescending and dismissive of my concerns, as if I had no right to be upset for the inconvenience they caused me - because "they're sHoRt StaFfeD". I had to miss work, my son was late to school, and now, is going at least another month without a filling that he's needed for 4 months. Would love to connect with Dr. DiVita regarding the matter, and the operation he's running.
Within the last 5 months or so ,this office unfortunately has deteriorated. I used to love taking my kids here. With the staff change, this is no longer the case. The front end staff is either completely MIA or when physically present, completely unprofessional. Sarah at the front desk acts in extremely rude, unprofessional and in a mentally unstable manner. Appointments are being cancelled left and right with no warning to the patients/parents. Calls and messages go unanswered for weeks. It's sad to see a place that was once so great, reduce to this.
My sons have been patients at this practice for over 10 years. We’ve always had a great experience until today. The new front desk staff is horrible. The lady is rude! Just FYI - This practice has no availability for emergency visits for their established patients which is really unfortunate. My son had an injury to his tooth so I left a voicemail after hours asking if he could possibly be seen or if someone could take a look at his X-ray it was recent from April 2022 and let me know if it was a baby tooth that was knocked loose. I called the office back the next morning and got the voicemail again after several rings. The secretary then called me right back. The receptionist was awful. I explained the situation and she advised they are not a walk in clinic and the dentist is booked through August and they are advising parents with similar situations to take the kids to the urgent dental at Eastman. I advised that was fine and I would take him but if someone obviously meaning a dentist, hygienist etc. could check his recent X-ray and let me know if it’s his baby tooth. She told me she can’t tell me that because she’s not a doctor. I advised that I understood that and that I never said nor insinuated that she was. I then asked to speak to someone else because she was rude. In return she told me I was being hostile. I advised that I was getting angry because she was being rude and cutting me off. She proceeded to place me on hold to pull the X-ray. When taken off hold it was the “Office Manager” who proceeded to tell me the same about not being walk in. I stopped her and advised I understood that and was already advised to take him to Eastman but I wanted the dentist to let me know if the tooth in question was a baby tooth. She asked for my contact information so the dentist could call me back to let me know. She then proceeded to tell me that she was looking at the X-ray and it in fact was a permanent tooth. I took him to Eastman right away and an X-ray was taken. It was a baby tooth! Not sure what her credentials are but she should definitely refrain from reading X-ray’s. I left a voicemail advising of this and wanting to speak to the dentist as this is concerning. No call!
We just recently joined this practice and the first time we went my son who previously had a horrific experience at another dentist was warmly welcomed by a woman named Tara. He was immediately at ease. She was kind and conversed with him on his level. The appointment went great, the hygienist was also so kind to my son and he was comfortable with everything she was doing. We had to return for 2 more appointments. His next appointment went well, he had a filling with gas and did amazing. At checkout Tara was so nice and related to his personality and gave him a high five. When we came back for his next appointment with Dr. Vidal who is wonderful we waited at least 7-10 minutes before the receptionist even acknowledged us. My kiddo was starting to get bored and loud..... the receptionist finally noticed us and snarled at me, "I'll be with you when I can"... There was another family apparently checking out but was also looking confused as to if she was done being checked out or not, she finally asked the lady "so, are we all set here?" The receptionist was pretty rude and told her yes. So then it was our turn. We signed in and sat down to wait for his appointment, which was already 5 - 10 minutes behind we got there 10 mins early. Dr Vidal tried to do the filling without gas for about 45 minutes. It was a gas appointment she apologized and said that the gas was never ordered and we would have to come back. So we went to schedule for another appointment but the receptionist didn't know how to book it and said she would call once she figured it out but to tentatively book for the 1st Saturday in March at 8am. I have not heard back from her. I'm not sure why the receptionist Tara isn't there anymore, but we definitely miss her. The front office just seems chaotic and unwelcoming now. If it wasn't for how great Dr Vidal is with my son, we would probably find somewhere else to go. Update: I called today to confirm the Saturday appointment and was told that the Dr does not work weekends. Then was offered an April appointment on Saturday ..... but they don't work Saturdays.... so I have to take off another day of work since the office never notified me that they had no gas for a gas appointment. And they have no morning appointments for over a month out. So now my son has to be in pain for over a month. I requested for the owner to call me within 24 hours to discuss. We'll see if he calls. Will update tomorrow.
This is a great dental group for the kids. The staff are very friendly and professional. My kids get excited to go every time. They needed some dental work done and the dental staff made sure my kids were comfortable and calm. It's a great group that's worth a little drive.
One of the most caring and patient dentist I have met! Dr sari was amazing. I have 2 high anxiety kids and they did great with her. She talked to them the whole time and reassured them. The hygienists were great too!!
