Staff and security were all very nice and helpful especially considering I came in with a pissy attitude due to being in pain for over a week. They we're all very dismissive of my attitude and remained completely polite and respectful during the entire visit. They were very thorough in the examinations and kept me well-informed throughout the entire process. Consistently checking in on my needs and making sure that I was okay while waiting on results of tests ect. Not that I ever plan on having to go to the emergency room, but if I did this would be the one. Nothing but praise and thanks from this guy!
As an employee of OhioHealth myself, I am absolutely disgusted with how I was treated during my recent visit. I was seen for back pain. The PA comes in and does a 2 second evaluation, prescribed me a lidocaine patch which, if they looked at my chart, I'm allergic to. Due to a recent surgery, I am unable to take NSAIDS, so specific narcots are out of the question. Which is fine by me. There was no imaging done especially with my history of bulging discs nothing. Just a urine sample and Tylenol. Yes I drove here by myself. It's what single mothers have to do. Be mindful. Please. I am here because I hurt and my pain management has me in limbo because I wanted to change doctors after being told the best thing to help my back pain is have weightloss surgery and lose weight. Which I did and have now lost 63 pounds and my back is worse off. I've had numerous surgeries in my life and never needed refills on medications or anything like that except for when I had my ankle fusion. The only person who seemed to care was registration and she was an absolute doll and the gentleman up front doing intake as well as triage nurse. But the PA and my actual RN while waiting could have cared less about how I felt. This is not how we represent OhioHealth, even if you're busy, you treat everyone with kindness and respect.
Per friends visit to ER this is what I learned. The nurses here have no understanding of the patients. For example, they write excuses that do not help anyone’s situation saying take care of ‘it’ when the issue is weeks away from nearing ANY solution and you are forced to continue working at your job in pain. They do not have any care of the patients once they leave the door and ignore any serious questions. For example, asking for what dosage they are giving you when it comes to Opioids then they ‘don’t know’ and then don’t look for an answer then when we walk out the door it was right on the paper they were holding. This showed lack of care, understanding, and that they pay zero attention. They were of no help, but at least they could have shown understanding and paid more attention.
Came here for my grandma and grandpa and got stuck with a doctor named Daniel P. Marcus he was very disrespectful and rude and everytime they tried to explain the problem he would completely ignore everything they was saying. When my grandpa came in the nurses were extremely worried his oxygen was very low that they rushed in to the put him on oxygen when the "doctor" came in he said there was nothing wrong when it was obvious his oxygen was low and if nothing was wrong why would the nurses be so worried? He was extremely rude and ignored everything was very loud and spoke to fast and when my grandpa asked him to slow down he made a rude comment. Your nurses were very nice but the doctor was extremely rude
Unfortunately, I have needed to go to the Emergency Room multiple times. But I am SO thankful that this facility is here. Every single visit and I've come at multiple times of day, I have been seen promptly. I've been in for kidney stones, ovarian cysts, seizures, etc. and their staff has been empathetic and quick to help me with pain management, testing, treatment, and referrals. Every doctor I use is now through OhioHealth and I strongly recommend them and their providers. Their standards for patient care and treatment is unmatched in the Central Ohio Area. 10/10!
Rude staff at the front of the ER. Walked in and security demanded I walk through metal detector, advised I did not consent to search and that security could look through my bag. Walked through metal detector and Security guy Sheetz clearly had a problem with my polite refusals. The very next person in line, he allowed through with NO search as she stated she had a doctors appointment. Got in line and the nurse shoved a box of masks at me. Tried to explain I cannot wear a mask and offered my Dr's Note to the lady at the front desk, she refused to read it and had Security read it. MY PERSONAL MEDICAL INFORMATION IS ON THAT NOTE AND SECURITY IS NOT MEDICAL STAFF. Extremely unhappy that my privacy was trampled on. The National COVID Emergency is over, there are NO signs asking folks to wear masks anywhere at the entrance. I was told if I didn't like it I could go to Mt. Carmel. Im typing this with a seized up back that has been this way for 3 days. I am in extreme pain and now have to hope I can get help elsewhere.
the wait here is crazy! ive been waiting for ALMOST 3 hours! This is ridiculous, i saw the nurse and she said wait for a doctor and a room to be open...3 hours later nothing. there's no communication and i wasted 3 hours of my life sitting in a chair hoping to have my name called. It doesn't take 3 hours to get a room. Do not come if you dont plan on waiting.
I guess Flava Flave was right, 911 IS a joke. How is it that I call 911 to tell them that my wife’s bp was 223 over 137 as measured on the blood pressure cuff her doctor prescribed her because she has a history of high blood pressure among other conditions and the 911 operator wasted time asking me stupid questions then the emts were just dismissive and dropped her off in the hospital lobby and we sat there. I ended up taking her to Mt Carmel to get proper treatment.
Worst service ever been here 3 hours and my daughter has not been seen yet. Pain on her right side. A lady comes in after us with a cough and gets taken to x-ray. This guy literally comes in hopping because of his foot and gets taken right back was not even here 10 minutes. I'm very aggravated and dissatisfied.
Totally AMAZING They are so kind soo thoughtful real! Honest and genuine. Treated me with care and respect . Definitely will be back. Thank you for taking such good care of me.
