As a local resident, I have always admired the exterior look of this remarkable building driving past and have been curious as to what this place had to offer. Last night we satisfied our curiosity. Walking through the door you step into the past and feel the history, the woodworking, displays of artifacts found on the property, even the smallest details style of the old light switches gives you the feeling of being thrown back in time. There are modern comforts like TV wifi etc but it doesn't take away from the character and the decorum. Staying here felt like being invited into someone's home and I imagine before the modern hotels that you find along any exit ramp along any highway this is what travel used to be like and what I hope to experience sometime soon in the near future. The hostess was was polite, inviting, and we could tell that she put so much care, love, into one of Milfords most hidden historic gems. Breakfast was good and sitting around the table in the morning with the other residents from the previous night we had a pleasant conversation about the area, plans for the day while enjoying fresh coffee and good food. I hope others find this review and plan a night here. Even if you are local it was a nice home away from home. This was my first bed and breakfast experience and I hope that this review will help spread the word for non-locals and locals alike to try a night here and build a memory in a town that we locals residents love.
We rented out the Old Milford Inn for our wedding weekend. The out-of-town bridesmaids stayed at the Inn and said great things about the Inn. Myself and all the bridesmaids used the Inn to get ready on wedding day. We also used the beautiful historic building as a backdrop for photos - they were absolutely stunning! I would definitely recommend the Old Milford Inn to any bride looking for a place to get ready for the big day as well as anyone looking to stay near historic downtown Milford Thanks Cynthia!!
Get place to stay. Cynthia is a wonderful host! Walking distance to friendly small town. Will visit again :
