Nice place to walk around on a summer evening. Parking is tight. I wish they'd block more streets to cars. Adirondack chairs in the one blocked street recline too far, hurts my neck.
We love trips into Old Town Los Gatos. It is a great place to go for a walk, do some shopping, grab a meal at one of many great restaurants. There is even a movie theater!
I am looking for a house to buy while considering moving to this neighborhood. At the same time, I spent time downtown on the weekend to check the neighborhood atmosphere. I fell in love with this place.
We went to Warby Parker for new XXL frames, which I found easily. "Ella" the gal who helped me, was very, very personable and patient. I wound up buying three frames at under $280.00 or less for all three!!! Ask for Ella. She is so sweet and very kind.
lovely little town!
A walk on this old town is very refreshing with lot of shops and restaurants around. The Palms and outside Loma brewing company there is live music. Must visit if you’re here.
Is all going to be turned into a furniture store soon. What a waste of a cool downtown location, dozens of people lost their jobs and many community staples we're located here.
Downtown Los Gatos has changed emmensouly, but I find myself missing living there every time I visit.
If you're a shopper and like hunting for bargains or unique and special finds this area is definitely worthy of 5 stars. If you're the husband of such a person it might only be a 3 or 4 star destination for you. The shops are mostly one of a kind gift, clothing and variety stores, many featuring locally made items and some for the benefit of local charity.
It was so great, on a warm February afternoon, to be back at one of my favorite restaurants, The Wine Cellar in Los Gatos. Their terrace under the oaks is such a pleasant place to be! Love their menu and the service is excellent.
