Amazing! Such great interactive and hands on learning. Beautiful restoration of 1860s-1930s town. So much authentic history. Highly recommend for all ages.
This place was really neat! We stopped in this area cause it was where we decided to rest before finishing the last leg in our trip. I must say the amount of detail that has went into preserving this little spot in history is amazing. If your looking for something fun and not heavy on the pockets, I highly recommend stopping in and giving this beautiful place a check.
So glad we decided to make the trip out here! It was absolutely worth it! Tons of buildings with amazing authentic artifacts, some of the buildings are recreations while others are restored and they did an amazing job with it. Easily spent 3 hours looking at everything this place has to offer! Need to come back during the Summer when they do the gunfights/shows and such! But even without that going on it was still worth the $10 admission! If you're in the area most certainly stop here you won't be disappointed!
I really like Old Town. Price is reasonable. Folks are friendly. A very nice collection of various buildings. I spent about 1.5 hours here. Plan on at least an hour.
Totally worth it! It’s a “small” museum in budget only—there are upwards of 20 Old Town buildings that range from a barbershop to a print shop to a jailhouse to a boarding house. It’s highly interactive you can sit in the jail cells and even pretend to serve milkshakes at the sweets shop. It doesn’t cover a lot of area, so it’s easy to walk for visitors of all ages! Our 6 and 9 year olds loved it just as much as Grandma and Mom. There’s also a cool indoor gallery of old cars, farm machinery, and displays on the history of Native Americans, Pioneers, and even thousands of types of barbed wire. There’s something for EVERYONE. Inside the main building, there’s a Hall of Heroes dedicated to the services as well as a gift shop, ice cream, and more restrooms. If you’re driving through, it’s the perfect spot for a quick break
Stopped here to stretch our legs dog’s too during a cross country road trip. Pet friendly, very cute museum showcasing the history of the area. Stop by if your are passing through!
This was so much fun! Museum was much bigger then we thought. So much to explore! Buildings were moved here from different parts of the region and filled with many interesting pieces. The barn was incredible thinking how they moved that building across the state. What a treat this place was!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entry$6–10
This was great fun. It's been decades since my last visit and it's just gotten better. No it's not a Broadway show if you take in the can can show and gun fight but it is terrific. I highly recommend visiting.
I have not been inside the museum, but if you stop at the Rest Area, you can even see something from there
Very cool place and friendly staff. A good place to welcome us to Colorado Wish we had more time to explore the museum and store. We'll come back when we visit to Colorado Springs again. They are also dog friendly,so that's a plus!
