The goal of the Olympia Volunteer Fire Department is to save lives and property through efficient fire suppression and fire prevention to the community of Olympia and surrounding areas.

Olympia Volunteer Fire Department is a non-profit organization founded on May 25, 1973. Olympia Volunteer Fire Department provides fire protection, prevention, and education to the Olympia community, and mutual aid to other parts of Pamlico County and Craven County as needed. Olympia Volunteer Fire Department also provides medical services at the Emergency First Responder level.

While I’m sure the Department as a whole is more than prepared, professional and kind; apparently they’ll let anyone become a volunteer. Firefighters should, imho, be a step above the rest; the best of the best... a newly recruited FF from the Bridgeton area is certainly bottom of the barrel and while an amazing act will be performed originally... his true colors and self ALWAYS comes out.
