Supporting Our Viking Traditions! Since 1992 our mission has been to provide scholarships to graduating seniors and improve educational opportunities for all students at North High School.
The Omaha North High School Foundation is a nonprofit, tax exempt organization that was incorporated in 1992. The Foundation awards scholarships to deserving seniors, and focuses its efforts on improving educational opportunities for all students at Omaha North High Magnet School.
The Foundation is a publicly supported organization sponsored by the Vikings of Distinction Committee (VDC), the North High Alumni Booster Organization (ABO), and the Parent, Teacher, Student Association (PTSA). Each organization elects two representatives for the Board of Directors of the Foundation. The Omaha North High School Foundation is served by volunteers with no paid staff or employees.
What We Do
Scholarships - Scholarships are funded through gifts or memorials to be awarded to graduating seniors to further their post high school educational goals. A minimum of 75% of the income from the fund must be used for scholarships.
Special Projects - The Foundation also supports student initiated special study projects, assisting with fees and/or expenses needed for attending educational seminars on the local, state, or national level.
How to Make a Difference
Contributions made to the Foundation will continue to work forever, to support the needs of future generations of Vikings! Every donation is placed in a permanent endowment, where your gift produces income far beyond its original value. The Foundation is a means by which a substantial amount of money can be built over time from contributions both large and small, the income from which is used to meet the goals of the foundation.
