Food was delicious and the atmosphere was pleasant. The live band sounded great! Our server was very sweet and attentive. If I am ever in this area again, I will be stopping by for another dish on the menu!
Louisiana is known throughout the Country for it's food and On The Half Shell has got to be one of it's stars. We came in and explained to our server Mikey that we were Northerners who didn't know how to eat "Louisiana". What an amazing meal!!!! We each had 3 different types of oyster, each better than the one before it. The Gumbo was amazing and the Catfish Victoria I had blackened and my wife had broiled was the best fish we've ever had. Do yourself a favor and try On The Half Shell. Definitely the best seafood we've ever had and possibly the best restaurant meal we've ever experienced!
Best place! Sooo, I have so much to say about this place. But I'll just keep it simple. If you want to listen to some music, check this place out. If you want some amazing oysters that look beautiful, check this place out. If you want a nice cocktail, check this place out and If you would like to have amazing service, definitely check this place out!! So far, everything I've had on the menu is beyond delicious. I highly recommend the shrimp and crawfish dip. The oysters as I said are beautiful and they taste amazing. The gumbo is on point. Can't go wrong with the wine... As I said, I can continue!!
Our waitress, Christina, was wonderful! Appetizer’s we ordered the Boudin balls and the Chargrilled oysters, they both were very very good. Entrée was the Crawfish on the Bluff, very delicious. Everyone was very friendly and great atmosphere for lunch or dinner.
Great environment and good people. Live music is upbeat and fun. Thry have musicians/bands almost every day of the week. Check the schedule for upcoming events. Oysters are ALWAYS amazing! Service was great, as usual. Decor is unique, interesting, and colorful. Lots of seating available. I'll absolutely be back, and I'll bring friends!
We had oysters! They were soo delicious! We had to sit in the normal dining area. The bar section with the band playing was completely full. Which ended up being fabulous! Because the staff was incredible and super attentive! I'm very big on "GREAT" customer service.
We celebrated our 5th year anniversary here. The food was on point but I have to say our waitress really made our night with here wonderful bright smile and great personality. Our only regret is we forgot to get her name and great service with a smile the whole time is almost rare now.Food: 5/5
The mornay sauce for the fried catfish and Carolina crab cakes was way too salty. Appetizer of seafood dip with fried tortilla was very good. My friends shared raw oysters and then the combination platter that contained different types of cooked oyster dishes which they thoroughly enjoyed. I wanted a soup and salad combo but it is not offered after 3 pm. Portions were nice. Did not see nor were offered any dessert options although we were celebrating a friend's birthday.
I wish I had taken pictures of the wonderful food we ate. Fries crab claws, bbq shrimp over garlic mashed potatoes, shrimp scampi, catfish money, and white chocolate bread pudding with rum sauce, were all outstanding.Food: 5/5
This was my 1st time here the spinach dip was pretty good, but was a bit disappointed in the homemade chips that it comes with wasn't as fresh so many overcooked chips I had to scim through chips to get some of good quality. I was very disappointed they did not have any more redfish which is my favorite fish. The waitress which WAS NOT ATTENTIVE told me they always sell out of the redfish so I settled for the blackened catfish with ettouffe on top. I was very disgusted to know instead of serving REAL catfish they serve the toxic bottom of the grid Vietnamese Swai fish. I hate that fish it does not blackened well at all and it's such a rubbery like fish. The best thing ony plate was the fresh cooked green beans which I LOVED.
