Once Upon A Child - Maple Grove

Buyer beware. You can do better at a garage sale. Not “gently used kids’ clothing” and they will not stand behind their mistakes. I bought a fleece jacket here and discovered it had a burn hole in in it when i got home. I took it back as soon as I could get across the cities to Maple Grove again and rather then admit their mistake when checking the item they bought and re-sold, they hid behind their policy for 14-day returns. Apparently the policy applies even if they sell you clothes with burn holes in them! I’ve never had to check the clothes at Once Upon a Child for holes or stains, but I should have since most of the clothes at this location have significant pilling and wash wear and everything is just jam-packed into the racks. I couldn’t even find something to buy with the store credit they gave me instead of my money back for the jacket. So I bought my kid some books. When I got home he was reading one and it is covered in another kids’ writing - on almost every page. Whoever does their buying needs to pay attention. Not worth a visit here and not up to the standards of other locations at all!

Wonderful experience! This is the fifth time I have brought children's clothes here over the past two years. Every time I was treated kindly and I got cash back. The store is clean and well organized. The staff is polite and helpful. I will be returning.

Brought in a whole bunch of clothes brand new with tags. And a brand new pair of Nike shoes and walked away with 84 dollars. ‍‍ I'm sure they will make double what the gave me. Who ever is thinking about going there I suggest you don't. Give it away to family members or kids in shelter would be a better idea. I should have thought about this better.

Best experience I’ve had at a OUAC! The lady working today with the hat on was super friendly and patient. They took almost all my clothes and the pay out was way better than I expected! My stuff was done early as well!

Yea, whoever I was working with was like tremendously rude. She was professional about though, I brought in some clothes and I didn’t have the baby clothes I was donating folded but washed and in a big bag and they way she went about describing how what I was trynna turn in was a “waste of my time.” Is just honestly unacceptable. I don’t even wanna go and give the clothes anymore just rather give em to a direct family that will appreciate it.

What a joke. Barely worth the gas to go there. I feel ripped-off. Brought a complete set plus two additional add-on sets COMPLETE and still working perfectly and in good condition of Disney Geotrax set. Though unboxed. Paid ~$250 for the set. One tiny piece is $15 on eBay. The whole sets WITHOUT the two additional sets are priced $130-$150 on ebay. Gave me $7.00. Insulting. I’d rather have given this to a kid that would enjoy it than feel completely exploited and ripped-off by this corporate shill show. That was the answer I got from the teenage kid pricing my items, “that’s what corporate tells us to give”. Really?? Wow. What a gross experience.

This place is great if you want new or slightly loved items. Bought some clothes and a brand new bike for less than half the price can't beat it! Plus the boy loves it

Noah and Tahnee made my shopping experience today so enjoyable. They both helped me find exactly what I needed, told me more about the product, and even helped me with my little one so I was able to focus on my check out process. I would drive out of my way next time I needed to shop at a Once Upon a Child to come here because I know I would absolutely get the help that I needed!

I can’t say enough positives about this store. The staff, specifically Kelly, is so helpful. The store is always organized, clean, and they do a phenomenal job of keeping things updated on social media so you know what’s available in store. Love their events and their prices are the best around. Highly recommend for both selling and buying!
