Dr. Kim was raised in California and received his Bachelor's degree from UCLA. Dr. Kim attended the Harvard School of Dental Medicine where he received his dental degree and served as the class president and as a member of the admissions committee and executive board council.
He continued his studies at Harvard for an additional three years and earned his Master's degree in medical sciences and completed his residency in orthodontics. Dr. Kim participated in clinics at Boston's Children Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital and was an instructor for clinical and laboratory sessions at Harvard.
