Best brussel sprouts I have ever had!! They are a must when you eat here! The ambiance is great, service was a little slow at first, but the restaurant was packed due to dinner before a show at the Segerstrom Center. We were able to get a table, which was great! And once seated, service was great and restaurant quickly emptied out and people went off to their show. Cauliflower appetizer and prosciutto pizza were so good. We will definitely be back!
Excellent gourmet Italian food. Amazing meatballs appetizer. The Salsicha homemade sausage pizza is excellent. It does not come with sauce but somehow it doesn't need it and is by no means dry. My wife says the Salsicha is the best sausage she's ever had. The mushroom cannelloni is good but very rich and also has a hint of lemon that I did not care for. There is Happy Hour every day after 7pm. Half priced gnocchi, some pizzas, and wings.
So stopped here last night, and the service was amazing. Our server brought the Haha's and tastey drinks. Food was pretty close to perfect, the poached egg on the carbonara was a little over done, same for the egg on the pizza. Pasta was fresh and prices were reasonable. Desert was good, enough choices and flavor here to make me want to make the drive back!
Great location, nicely designed very good food and the service was excellent. I had the Rigatoni and my lunch dates had pizza. It was all very tasty.
A seriously disappointing experience. There was no mention when making the reservation that main courses would not be offered. Perhaps we were saved from further disappointment. Our appetiser was good. However the pizza that followed was like rubber and the cannelloni which was recommended by the waiter lacked the promised filling of cheese and asparagus and the pasta that encircled it was like cardboard. Our cannelloni was baked solid to the dish it was served in which further eroded its appearance and taste. There were three of us but somehow we were served 4 coffees and the waiter didn’t seem to think that was a problem. I can’t recommend this restaurant, it’s just not great Italian cuisine although the restrooms are immaculate.
I went to this place years ago and was really impressed. They seemed to have dishes that were more authentic, creative, and tasty compared to other Italian restaurants. Ambiance is really nice. But on my last visit, the menu seemed uninspired. Don't get me wrong, its not bad, but I wasn't as impressed with it as before. Portions were small on the pasta in my opinion. The reason I am giving it 2 stars is because of the service. This is not a "pizza joint" as the name would suggest. it really is a nice upper end restaurant. My waiter was less than attentive and it wasn't that busy. Details like the salads coming out while we were eating appetizers were annoying. We ordered a $92 bottle of wine. It's not ballin' or anything, but its an indication that we were there to spend some money. We ordered 2 apps, shared a salad, a pasta entree, and a pizza 2 entrees and two deserts and a coffee which they forgot to bring out We had a small table and the salad came out and we had to split it ourselves. I asked the waiter "On the pasta and pizza can you split those on 2 plates so we don't have to do it at the table?" He said "we can't do that". I would have made a scene about that, but I was with a customer. Seriously??!!! I hate when people say stupid things like that. What is preventing them from doing this. I understand if we had 2 people and were trying to split I entree. But to say "we don't do that" is egregious, especially for the 2 guys probably spending more per person than anyone in that restaurant on at Tuesday night. Food was OK. Pizza crust is great as people describe in the reviews. Pasta was small portion and pretty good. Chopped salad was good portion and really good. But nothing that really impressed me. Desert selection was unexpired.
Amazed by this little hole in the wall food joint. The food tastes amazing and is recently priced. Their Gnocchi is amazing. We loved our server Dee, he was so thoughtful and did an amazing job. Would come back any day!
We probably went on the wrong night. I heard rave reviews about this place, so I took my family here for dinner on our way to see A Christmas Carol next door. All seven of us left very disappointed with the service, the food was bland, not Italian o napolitan. The bread was sliced cold bread straight from the fridge, the waiter said that was the way they serve it here. We sent the drinks back several times. Paid good money and to top it off, there was an extra fee for the cooks on our bill? But hey, parking was free. I only write this to help, not hurt your business.
Soup, salad & pizzeria pie WONDERFUL. Tax & tip for two out the door $60.00 will worth it. Staff very attentive, clean inside & out. Will be back again this is my 3rd time here over 12 years. Thank a job well done.
The pizza had very little toppings on it. The crust had lots of burned spots on it. I returned it and asked to have it taken off of the bill. My friend's pasta with carbonara sauce was flavorless. The pasta was oily. It left a funny taste and greasy feel in our mouths. My friend became nauseated shortly after we left. Very poor value for the prices they charge.
