Creating a Community of POSSIBILITIES!!!
Located at South Park !
The city of Oshkosh has committed South Park for this inclusion project, located at the corner of South Park Avenue and Ohio Street. The park is located in a beautiful, residential area and is the perfect location for outdoor recreational activities such as special events, parties, family picnics, and reunions.
The Oshkosh Inclusive Park Project is a community effort, made possible through a partnership of individuals, businesses, and the city of Oshkosh. The mission focus of the Oshkosh Inclusive Park Project is to create a safe and accessible outdoor recreational environment for individuals of all abilities and ages. The park includes a completely accessible play area with a rubberized ground surface and safety fence. The newly renovated park will feature a restroom facility and shelter that comply with the American Disabilities Act (ADA), along with an accessible picnic area for all ages.
Above all, the ultimate goal of this project is to create a natural environment where values of acceptance, empathy, kindness, and respect are being modeled and learned through recreation, civility, and acceptance of diversity in the Oshkosh community.
Donations are being accepted through the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation.
