Overall good experience some people don't show courtesy though but it ended up well all I can say is keep your dogs on a leash and focus some people don't care about they little 1200$ chihuhuas or something ya know big pitbulls on leads they wanna walk behind ya no heads up to the point where ya dog wanna break a lead they on I would have held him if I knew they where coming focused on my phone working my dog broke many of them with a running start. But it is a nice park and walk down to otsinsngo.
Popular place for walkers and joggers to take a breath, check the map and head back to the main Park. Dog walkers really need to clean up after themselves!! Saturday mornings tend to host police/defensive dog training. Floods a lot; great goose and bird watching. Restrooms avail, I've never used them and never will. Water faucet outside restrooms runs seasonally.
A beautiful fall day with the leaves changing Grass was beautifully manicured. Many dogs and people out most kept their distance. We had a great time! There are jungle gyms and sand for the kids plenty of clean restrooms, paved walkways and trails, several pavilions. Lots of tables and bbqs, Soccer, tetherball, baseball and open spaces for frisbee. Little ponds, ceiw of river, flowers, they spray for bugs. And hopefully spediefest wel comes back in 2021 Perfect for family outings outter romantic picnics.
No frills North extension to Otseningo Park connected by a walking trail. Sports fields with plenty of room for different activities, and restroom facilities. I usually prefer this location as a starting point to run the trails as it's less crowded and the trails are wider than the main park.
Access North entrance from upper front street exit off 1-81 and turn right after Lalors dental. The bathroom was open and available. The soccer field is adjacent to the parking lot. Nicely paved very pretty path along the Chenango River. A few benches and trash recepticals along the way. Lots of dogs... doodoo bags are available at the beginning. Bikes, strollers, rollerblading. There's a nice loop about 2 miles, flat and easy. Runs along the highway. If you keep going to the southern end, there are plenty of trails and a playground that connects. The northern end tends to be quieter and not many young kids.
One of my favorite places in the world. If you're looking for to access a beautiful trail for walking, biking, running, this is the place. The North end of the trail follows the river providing some wonderful views and at certain spots on the trail you can walk down to the water. The trail is wide and paved making it very conducive to family walks and bike rides. There are a few strategically placed benches along the trail in case you need a breather. The park is dog friendly as well, but beware, many park patrons blatantly ignore the leash law. My only caveat. The county parks system in Broome County is one of the best anywhere. All of the county parks are meticulously kept and superbly maintained. Otsiningo is no exception. The trail will eventually take you to the South end of the park where the playground and picnic facilities can be found. If those are what you are looking for, then I would recommend accessing the park from the South end instead. However, if it's bike riding, walking or running you have in mind, the North end is a great option.
Definitely a nice park to visit. It has views of the river, nicely paved walking trail that can also be used for biking or skating. Overall friendly atmosphere. If you're there for a walk it's an easy peaceful walk. Very level path with very gradual inclines and declines.
Very nice soccer fields and a great place to start a walk or run. Also, available restrooms are a plus.
Great, safe place for walking, running, biking and more!!!
Not bad. Pavement could be in better repair. This park is used a lot, so it should be a priority to keep in top condition.
