Ott-Laughlin and Casie Seckinger are true professionals, gentle, genuine and very sympathetic to the needs of grieving families. Casie especially went above and beyond to make the funeral for our father as easy and simple as possible. They have put together packages to suit your needs and will adjust accordingly if needed. Thank you Casie for being so sweet and sincere.
Used this funeral home twice and both, once in March 2023 for my dad, then again in May 2023, both experiences were bad. Robert does not follow up and was the reason for both of my parents delay in cremation. My mom sat out for about 14 days. Cassie provided unsolicited inheritance advice which ended up to be incorrect, after confirming with an attorney. The facility is outdated. Prices are high.
Very grateful to find this funeral home. My father was in hospice care for less than 24 hours and died much faster than we anticipated. After a google search of local funeral homes, we called Ott-Laughlin Winter Haven around 8:30pm at night. Casie Seckinger, the Funeral Director called back that night to give us an idea about the cost. She was wonderful. We scheduled a meeting and met with her at the funeral home. She was very welcoming and walked us through every step of the process! We also liked how easy it was to communicate with her! She was only a phone call or text away! We could tell she really cares about what she does! My dad was cremated. The service included a catered reception afterwards. It was more affordable than we anticipated and we appreciated that a lot!! The service was very nice and the food was very good! They let us go in prior to the service to set up photos and whatnot. For an added cost you can choose to have someone create a memory table for you. While traditionally people sit in rows for funerals, they had round tabletops where people could sit and talk with each other although you can choose to do rows too. We liked the set up and so did our guests!! Robert Connor, the office manager, was wonderful throughout the process. He welcomed us the first time we visited and coordinated everything with the death certificates and splitting my fathers ashes. He took time to sit with us and answer all our questions after receiving the death certificates which we appreciated. We must also thank Bob who was filling in. He was great to work with during set up and on the day of the funeral. We can’t say enough about how much respect and kindness was shown to our family from the staff! Definitely would recommend!! Great location in Winter Haven right near downtown!
ott-laughlin helped me thru every step of the way thru a hard time, getting everything ready for my husband's funeral, they did a fantastic job.
It-Laughlin Funeral Home provided a wonderful experience for a Celebration of Life service for my wife whom I lost recently. The Funeral Director Casie did a wonderful job ensuring all of our needs were met.
George and Richard went above and beyond in helping us after the death of our mother. They were extremely kind and considerate and gave us a very reasonable price. They let us know they were available anytime and did a wonderful job on the picture video. I appreciate their willingness to accommodate our requests.
The staff at Ott-Laughlin was very helpful and responsive to all of our needs without being pushy or overbearing. We worked primarily with George and he was wonderful throughout the entire process after our mother passed away. He was understanding, knowledgable, and available after hours on more than one occasion. His suggestions and guidance was helpful, well timed, and much appreciated. He communicated clearly with everyone involved. Thank you again for your compassion and assistance during a very difficult time and for going above and beyond.
Everyone was so caring and kind. Outstanding care and compassion from the funeral director and she really took time to explain the process and was very passionate about how I was doing and getting everything done in a timely manner. Outstanding care.
Ott-Laughlin was very helpful during a highly difficult time. I live out of state, and had to make quick decisions regarding my mom's sudden passing. George, the director, was extremely kind, knowledgeable, and warm throughout the entire process, especially considering that this was my first time having to make these decisions and having a time constraint to work within. I am very appreciative of the kindness of George and all of his staff.
The team was absolutely fantastic. They worked with us to make this a great celebration of life. The help and their service took a lot off of me during the process from the viewing and service there and the graveside the next day in Thonotosassa it was great. Jessica, Robert, Joe, Casey and Ron were all great. 4 generations, extended family and friends said it was a great service.
