Heather was our waitress! Great homey feeling We had not been prior. We will definitely return!Food: 5/5
First time customer not local to the area. We had a large group that was turned away from Denny's due to no staff after a youth sports event. We were treated so nicely and the food was amazing. Will definitely be back!
Based on the reivews, my wife and I stopped here last Saturday morning for breakfast on our way from Cinci to Cleveland. A rather basic breakfast menu, which is fine. I ordered the biscuits and gravy which were very good. I also ordered a BLT which they have under their side dishes on the breakfast menu. The BLT was standard. For the price it was fine. My wife got an egg sandwich with a side of home fries. They home fries LOOKED perfect. I immediately tried a little bit of them and unfortunately had to remove them from my mouth. I'm not sure if the potatoes were old, if they were using some sort of cheap shortening or fake butter to fry them in, or what the issue was, but they tasted like how a "wet dog" smells. VERY disappointing. I don't eat eggs, but my wife was underwhelmed with her egg sandwich which she described as "bland and dry." The service was friendly and the environment was pleasant, but something was definitely off food-wise that morning.
An absolute gem if you're passing through Jeffersonville, there seemed to be one woman running the cash register, greeting guests, and taking orders, one kid filling waters, and another guy doing bar and dish, and still the woman taking my order was very patient informing me of items on the menu I hadn't heard of before. The place just exudes character and small town diner charm, with pictures of families and I assume patrons plastered on one wall, a big blackboard behind the bar, a bill that is hand tabulated with a calculator, a lamp shade that looks like a cheese grater, and much more. The coffee was great black, they also have espresso, though I didn't get to try any. I got the biscuit and gravy, fried mush, bacon, pork man, and home fries. She even gave me a dining recommendation for the fried mush which is a form of grits pressed so they'll hold together, sliced, and griddled up to try it on its own and then with some syrup. The bacon and pork man were both made with local pig, and I believe it showed in the quality. The biscuits and gravy is your classic biscuits and gravy, so if that's what you're hankering for, you're going to get it. I was going to order extra gravy but she assured me there would be enough and saved me $2.50. the hashbrowns were the only thing I was a little disappointed with, and they were still good, just not as good as everything else. I did not try the pancakes but the person I was eating with got one and you certainly get your value if you order one of those. Kid-friendliness: Definitely a family oriented joint. They have pictures of local families and patrons covering one of the walls.
Catfish was our dinner choice. Very tasty and Cole slaw that is out of this world delicious. Cozy hometown atmosphere
Hidden gem! It was so good. Great food. Great prices and great service! Pie was delicious and homemade. Cinnamon rolls were amazing. Highly recommend!
Great lil family restaurant with delicious food. Staff is very friendly. Nice experience. Food: 5/5
Cozy place, service got hit at noon and the place filled up but the servers did not seem to know how to handle customers quickly and efficiently. Waited 40 min our food and it came out one dish at a time five min apart. My sandwich turkey and Swiss was good but the chips were super greasy. Good prices for the food.
