Stopped there randomly being conveniently close to a friends house. Ended up buying steaks I didn't even come in for to grill. Great meat department good prices. Staff was personable. Would definitely go back.
I often shop at Overland Foods since I live only a few blocks away. The meat department is especially good, with nice, fresh cuts availably every day. I find the place to be very handy, even if they don't stock everything I might want. However, I'm not too pleased with one of the staff members. Margaret needs to go, and soon. She should have been retired a long time ago as some of her behavior is is inappropriate and sometimes downright mean. As an example, I ran into an old friend in the parking lot a little less than a week ago. We were very glad to see each other and were chatting it up as old friends will do. We didn't even have a chance to shop before, for no apparent reason, Margaret decided to run us out of the store. We left, puzzled. I think that management should be made aware of Margaret's irrational and unpredictable behavior. It is not appreciated.
Great little place! Nice to still see little independently owned shops like this still around. They have a great selection and still have cheap prices for all the goods, this place may be small but has lots of product, and the staff is always helpful too!
Great local grocery store to shop at! Good selection and easy to navigate around inside also open early on week end mornings. They have a great meat selection and an in house butcher as well
Way overpriced, minimal produce selection and what is there is near expiration, frozen foods well past expiration date, $12 for 4lbs. of Purina dog food… who is out here supporting y’all?? Also, if you try to go in there with a service animal, they will try to demand to see your paperwork, which is a direct violation of the ADA, and is against the law.
Their pre-made meals are very convenient for lunches.
If you are looking for Dollar Store-like brands, this is the place for you. It has the national food brands that you’d expect and I’m not going to mention. Overland could step it up and bring in healthy organic brands. That would be progressive and maybe open up their customer base.
The store doesn't feel the same without the red haired individual that would wear anime shirts and chat with customers like an old friend. That checker made the market so friendly and they will be missed by so many of us who had grown used to chatting with them everyday. They were always positive, respectful and made everyone feel at home. Sad we didn't get to say goodbye to them.
Friendly, helpful staff, good selection. We're happy to shop our local grocery, and very pleased that the store brand Best Choice passes my buycott parameters of ethically sourced options!
The best store in Overland! It's also the only main grocery store, but it's a great place! They've got a deli and hot food. There's a pretty good selection of produce. Pretty much any common household ingredient is hidden somewhere in the store. Friendly staff and it's right along the Poudre Trail and River if you're biking West!
