this store is like how they did it in the olden days when they had mercantiles. it has a pharmacy, grocery store that has baked goods and anything else you can think of, handmade specialty items, holiday decorations galore, plants, Hardware, toys, and the list goes on. I have never been in a cooler, cleaner, and more well stocked store than here. rarely will you ever find a gym of this quality and this size that offers so much. absolutely love being there and spending the time I did with my family there looking at things and getting great products. this is the best grocery store I have ever been to In My Life!
I've started occasionally getting lunch here. I can put together a plant based whole food lunch pretty quick here. They even have nice booths for eating. It's a nice vibe although a little pricey.
This place has great hours. The grocery side is well organized and they have a number of unexpected items. Go look. It's pretty cool. The True Value side is great too. All the bins are a jumbled up mess, so you gotta dig, but that's okay by me. If they got the parts I need they're alright by me. If you go after 5pm odds are no staff will be in the hardware side. If a staff is there they barely know where they are and they know even less about the store's inventory or purpose. So it's exactly like all the other hardware stores in that respect. Great store.
I went to get a cake today, we had some miscommunication I guess and the cake had not been made. I didn't get the lady's name but the bakery manager was the sweetest ever, she made she to get the cake ready, and even gave me a phone call to apologize. Now that's good customer service if you ask me !!
Definitely not where you should send your husband for that quick pick up or late night snack he might get distracted. Other than the obvious Milwaukee beans stuff they carry anything from chainsaws to cherries sushi to sanding. This place is a one stop shop
Came in to get some donuts for a company meeting. I was skeptical about the price, but after tasting the donuts, all the employees asked me where I got the donuts and I said Stokes. Well worth it and very delicious.
Stokes is a very nice store quite and clean, great meat selection and if you happen to need hardware they have that onsite also. I have known these folks for along time and quality is the name of the game.
We were in a bind and needed a quick dinner, We decided on Stokes Fried Chicken. It was so dry that it was borderline jerky. I have had decent chicken there before, but today I waisted $30.
It's the only place that has great fresh sushi, but the store itself is soooo expensive!!!! But it has a great selection of freeze dried foods, for those wanting to have a food storage!!!
1st day of Stokes fresh sushi bar! Flavors are wonderful! Ingredients taste fresh! The rice is maybe not quite sticky enough. On the cucumber & avocado roll the rice was not rolled thick enough, and maybe not evenly spread. This caused the pieces to fall apart on the way to my mouth. However, the freshness of the ingredients was spot on! The dragon roll! The presentation was beautiful, the flavors wonderfully layered, and the texture wasn't mush. Perfectly made. Way to go Stokes!
