There was no waiting. I was called in at the exact time of my appointment. It was extremely convenient - a locker and gown situated in close proximity to the mammography room. The technologist was very pleasant, courteous and efficient. In 15 minutes from arrival I was done and able to go on with my day. The technologist explained that she would phone me if there was any problem indicated on the report, which was reassuring. The report was sent to my primary doctor the following day. Totally worth it for the "peace of mind " it gives for the next 12 months. I will always get my mammogram done at Overland Park Regional.
On 8/25/22 I had a robotic assisted hysterectomy of my uterus, cervix and fallopian tubes with excisions of endometriosis. From start to finish the staff and medical professionals were great. I was well informed regarding my procedure beforehand and the day of. The staff/receptionists were very polite and helpful in directing me. The nurses who worked with me in prepping for my surgery were very courteous and professional. They made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed, offered numerous times to answer any questions I may have had, explained everything that was being done as it was being done and ensured that I was aware of everything that would be done during the procedure, after and provided excellent instructions for my recovery. This all stands for the anesthesiologist and Dr. Swan my surgeon as well. The facility was very clean, very organized and comfortable for any waiting time that was done by myself or my father who accompanied me to provide my ride home. I did receive an email following my discharge that encouraged contact should I have any questions or concerns. The facility location was very easy to navigate to. I am very pleased with my entire experience and with every individual I interacted with. I highly recommend Overland Park General to any that are looking to schedule a procedure and with confidence can tell those who have a procedure scheduled, you will be in good hands.
My visit to Overland Park Regional’s ER was one of the best that I’ve had. I was able to get right in & was seen by a physician in a matter of a few minutes. The provider was caring, attentive and committed to helping me feel better. She clearly communicated each test and procedure done, as well as my plan of treatment once it was established. The nurses were also kind, compassionate and committed to helping me feel better as well. I would HIGHLY recommend OP Regional ER to anyone in the Johnson County Area. Grateful for their care!
Everyone at OPRMC was wonderful. The people in the recovery room were so nice. The nurses were amazing and kept thanking me for letting them get me ice water and other things. They are just the nicest people! Dr. Chapman is the nicest doctor I have ever worked with and the most competent as well. I would recommend this hospital to anyone!
As a new patient who was referred over, they treated me with such great care. We were so pleased with the whole experience there at the Labor and Delivery section that we could not stop praising about the staff: nurses, residents, doctors and everyone who assisted me during my labor and delivery. We are beyond pleased with the whole experience. Thank you labor and delivery team.
Great care. Excellent staff. The only true thing I would change would be the soundproofing of the rooms. You could hear full conversations on both sides of your room, even during designated quiet time hours. This was especially rough during nights when you could hear babies crying from all directions. Also, quiet time was not really adhered to for non-urgent items not including during rounds or vital checks. My staff was excellent. I had danielle, Lindsay, Corey and Julie. The residents were also very informative and considerate. Overall a great experience.
Cynthia Beeler posting. The staff and doctors I met were good; the accommodations, not so good. I realize that it was a holiday weekend but there were several rooms in E D that were not being utilized and I had a 4 hour stay in a hallway with a few embarrassing moments. They were well staffed with some not busy at all. When they admitted me, there was no room in the hospital available so I was taken to the closed ED suite. All involved were thoughtful and eager to help. All that said, I would recommend this hospital.
I just wanted to thank everyone involved in my recent hospital stays and thank them for the diligent care and concern the entire time I was at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Especially to all the staff involved with my care from November 23-26, 2022. Starting with the ER crew that accessed my situation; then the overnight crew that looked after and gave me the treatment I needed; and finally, the inpatient crew that looked after me my last night there and the day I checked out. Everyone was friendly, patient, caring and stayed on top of their responsibilities every hour I was a patient. I am so thankful for everything and everyone! Especially the team that noticed the warning signs that led to discovery of the pulmonary embolism. More than likely, they saved my life. Take care. God bless you all. Happy holidays.
I checked into the emergency room early Thursday afternoon and was placed on a gurney in the main hallway and outside numerous busy areas. I was told I was being held overnight and they had no rooms, even though I saw numerous people placed in ER and hospital rooms after I arrived. I requested an actual bed and was assured I would get one, unfortunately it was at 12:51 am. The overnight staff was great, but the other staff ignored me. I was held overnight and no other tests were done, even though they indicated their would be more. Nurses and Doctors carried on conversations right next to me as they avoided the cleaning the crew. If you are keeping someone overnight at least give them the opportunity to rest.
Every bit of my labor and delivery process was amazing. I ended up delivering our baby girl at 34 weeks and 5 days. We loved all the nurses and doctors we dealt with. Even the individuals that signed us in and brought our food were wonderful!
