This is a new Mexican restaurant off Paramount in Amarillo, Tx. I had high hopes for this place as my go to Sunday morning restaurant was closed. The exciting part was that Posole was on the menu! We were a party of nine, four adults and five children. We were sat in the bar side because they have larger tables for bigger groups. Then we were ignored. Server took our drink order and and food order then was non existent. Drinks went unfilled, chips ran out, we asked for extra items and they were forgotten. When we asked the server she was pretty non chalant about it and just walked away. The kids plates came out piping hot but all the adult plates were cold. Not Luke warm, but cold. The flavor was there. The food had great authentic Mexican taste. If it wasn't for the lack of service and cold food, we might go back. Maybe next time we are in town we may give them another shot. Hopefully the service will be better and our food will be hot. * On a side note, horchata was served in an empty Coke bottle.
Food was good. Customer service was excellent. Nice relaxed atmosphere.
First time trying Pacos. Wow! Tons of food and great prices. Had the Papas Locas, huge plate of potatoes cut in a spiral thick with guacamole, sour cream, queso and pico de gallo. The Pacos Tacos are what is gonna make this restaurant. Great flavored asada with cheese and a slice of avacado.. I'm sure it has more in it but that's the basic. They are big for tacos as well. Only disappointing item was the rice, not a fan. Otherwise amazing find.
I enjoyed the friendly staff and comfortable relaxed atmosphere. The food was not quite what I was hoping for. For the most part, the flavor of my meal was pretty bland and lacked the spiciness I prefer in Mexican food. Most disappointing was the guacamole. Compared to what you'll find at most restaurants, the guacamole was watery and lacked flavor. Pretty average experience with basic Mexican fare.
My fiance and I were passing through and stayed at the hotel near by and we were hungry. We decided to try pacos tacos which was within walking distance. We originally ordered to go but when we went inside decided to sit and eat. Best choice ever, the food was delicious you get free chips and great salsa, great service and all the ladies were so sweet and friendly. I couldn't even finish my plate and for both dishes our bill was only $12 bucks what a steal. This place is legit and we will stop here again when we go through.
The Pacos taco plate was excellent. I had fresh onion instead of the grilled ones and it was so good. Loved their rice and they serve beans with their chips and sauce. Yum! Will be back.
My experience was ok, breakfast burrito was amazing but you have to order exactly how you want it, specify each ingredient. Had the waffle as well and it was delicious. There was rice on the side with my burrito and it was not good at all very bland. Salsa is ok chips were good and bean dip was good as well. As we were standing at check out I smelled a raw sewage smell that was strong enough to make me gag. I had to walk out and let my husband take care of the ticket that is the only reason I rated 3 stars vs 4 stars.
My server was young and fairly new, she recommended the Paco's Taco dish. Which was amazing, I will definitely be heading back very soon. Especially if Adeelasp? Is working. Thanks again for the great service and great food!
Loved the food, great customer service. The atmosphere was pleasant and homey. Will definitely be going back...especially since my husband says it reminds him of back home Cali.
Had a long wait for the food, by the time we got it we had two baskets of chips, their bean dip was good and had a tomatillo salsa which was ok also. .i can make one better just saying, they need a spicy hot salsa for their chips, the food was ok notin to wow about...their kids mac n cheese was good but it was pasta in a alfedo sauce, they also give you a big a.... straw for a small glass...i wouldn't go back and this is just my opinión
