PacWest Center

Description

PacWest Center is a 30-story, 127.41m office skyscraper in Portland, Oregon. It is the fifth-tallest building in Portland, and the fourth largest with 491528sqft. The building was designed by Hugh Stubbins & Associates of Cambridge, Massachusetts and completed in 1984.HistoryPacWest Center was formally dedicated on November 1, 1984. The building's name is derived from former anchor tenant, Pacific Western Bank of Oregon, owned by PacWest Bancorp. However, PacWest's Oregon operations were acquired by KeyCorp in 1986 and became part of KeyBank. Tokyo-based Mitsubishi Estate Co. had been the majority owner in the building since it rose in 1984.In 1985, the building's design won its architects, Hugh Stubbins & Associates and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the year's top "honor award" from the Portland chapter of the American Institute of Architects. The building's lobby was remodeled in 2002. In December 2007 the building was sold to Ashforth Pacific Inc. for $161.5 million. During a windstorm in December 2014 a piece of sheet metal blew off from the tower and damaged the neighboring Standard Plaza. Ashforth sold the PacWest Center in 2016 for $170 million to LPC Realty Advisors I LP.DetailsPacWest is the fourth largest office building in Portland with 491528sqft of floorspace. The modern, metallic look of the building comes from the use of aluminum panels imported from Japan. Law firm Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt is one of the largest tenants, occupying the 15th to 19th floors. The firm has been based in the building since 1984.

Employee thought it was okay to tell me that I can’t use an outlet to charge my phone because I looked like I was from the streets and not high class/profile enough to be there. I understand you want your business to keep its reputation as a high class company but you sure do discriminate and treat people like you don’t ever want their business in the future. Yes I’m young and in my 20s, but I will never be associated with this place in the future due to how they think they can treat people.
Professional, clean. Needs more outlets for chargers. Nice people.
A beautiful building which was the recipient of many architectural awards when it opened. So sad that the Fifth Avenue entrance was walled off with bland blonde wood. So now there's a corporate coffee shop instead of the locally owned delicatessen that was so wonderful. I suspect the almighty dollar had a lot to do with the alterations.
Good building with modern amenities. They just redid the lobby and it looks really cool. They are also installing a fitness center and bike and amenity room for tenants to use for free, so that is a really cool perk of being a tenant. Also, nearly all bus/MAX routes stop either at the building or within a block or two radius, so the location is fantastic for public transport.
Google maps took us here as I clicked on a link for a different address. imagine walking your three kids from the parking garage all the way to this location while carrying a shark Halloween decoration only to find out that you have to walk everybody back and drive somewhere else. I was not happy but the security desk was very polite and for me that this happens semi frequently.
Building is easy access right on bus and MAX lines. Parking is on site with comparable rates. The SECURITY STAFF is IMPECCABLE!!!!!!
Great building to work at. Great restaurants/shops including Starbucks, Spicy Pickle, and a nice convenience store. There's a piano in the lobby with a rotating pianist pianist playing music during the lunch hour.
Got to meet clyed Lewis from Ground Zero radio he is nice open-minded and awesome did not feel judged even though he is a moderate conservative I hope he lives for a long time it would be a lot funner to listen to him at work during the day instead of Lars Larson who never admits when he's wrong with his listeners and cutting them short to break.
I think I'm addicted to frappuccinos, double shot extra caramel.
You're lucky if you get to go up to the top floor it's a gorgeous view
