There are still A few seaside amusement parks left, this is probably one of the best left. Rides are extraordinarily well maintained and safe. A huge arcade and plenty of the usual carnival games of chance are available. One thing I should point out this area does actually have some particularly good beach food.
Good, old fashioned ocean, front amusement park! My grandson loves it. Family fun for all; kiddie rides, big kid rides, thrill seekers, and the usual sights & smells of fried foods, candy…and gun powder if you’re there for the fireworks on the beach! There is an indoor arcade with all the new games and plenty of old-school games. Of course, there is the usual Midway, full of carnival games and prizes. My only concern was cleanliness; the bathrooms were disgusting on the night we went, but it was crowded. The next day was much better in that regard.
Beach was great and relaxing! Boardwalk is small but nice to walk around. The actual play land didn’t open until 4PM so we missed it when we went in the morning and early afternoon. Still lovely to walk around the shops and little restaurants.Visited onWeekday
It was ok. I was a bit disappointed, honestly. The Farris Wheel was down, and the photo kiosk for the Sea Viper pics was closed all day. Very chaotic. Food from Lisa's Pizza outside the midway has really good fried dough. We sampled a little from several different places, unfortunately nothing to speak on for what we tried. There seems to be extremely low morale among the employees. People act politely but are so obviously burnt out and want to be anywhere but there. The Beach is beautiful. Clean beach, soft sugar sand to sink your feet into. The pier provides a shady place to play and splash in the water. The bathroom is located all around outside the ticket booth. After dark, a club on the pier has a laser show that shines across the sand or water depending on where the tide is.
Nice compact area to walk around and check out the rides before purchasing tickets. Day pass $47 for unlimited worth it if lines are short. Food was OK, better outside of amusement area. Staff made sure everyone safely secured. Adult style rides plus plenty of kiddie rides. Good way for kids of all ages to spend an afternoon. Seasonal Amtrak train stop a few minute walk to the amusement park & beach
A fantastic place to take the family. Great classic boardwalk atmosphere. The food is amazing, the rides are fun classics, and the atmosphere is as Maine as it gets. With that of course, does come the one downside, parking/tiny streets. You will be paying anywhere from $5-$30 for parking depending on the day. There is free parking ,however it is tight, and a long walk from the pier.
My husband and I came here on Saturday Night, it was so much fun!! The rides were crazy cool the Ferris Wheel was all light up, and illuminating off the peer, I loved the entire vibe. The children / adults on the rides were laughing and screaming in fun, the prices weren’t that expensive to go on a ride. 1.15$ per ride or 5 tickets for the roller coaster or upside down rides. They had so many cantines to choose from to eat at, I Will return one day for sure and bring my kids here
This is a perfectly ubicated attraction park by the pier and beach of old orchard beach. Has several rides for kids and adults and great for families. Entry is free but the prices to ride vary over the season and it is divided into three categories. Rides cost 3, 4 or 5 tickets. You can buy tickets a la carte, to get a bit more discount you can buy a booklet of 24 or 50 tickets, or if you don't want to count your rides you can get the daily pass that gets you unlimited rides during the day. When I went the daily was around $50
