Palm beach pediatric dentistry

About

A dental office for children that kids can’t wait to visit, led by an impressive credentialed, board-certified pediatric dentist whose focus is on comfort

"Palm Beach Pediatric Dentistry was founded by Dr. Saadia I. Mohammed. She recognized the need for a more modern holistic approach to caring for children’s oral health. Instead of traditional practices that just “clean teeth” and “fill cavities”, she believes in a proactive holistic method centered around prevention and education. Dr. Saadia is a highly-trained and experienced pediatric dentist who has been in private practice in Southeast Florida since 1998, and was the first female, Board Certified Pediatric Dentist in Boca Raton. During her dental schooling at New York University, she was awarded the Dean’s Research Award and was in the Honors Clinic. She is passionate about Tongue-Tie education which she has lectured about to her peers."

Dr. Saadia is absolutely amazing. She is very passionate about her work and treated my newborn son with such care and kindness. She took the time to explain everything in detail and in a way we could understand. We drove over an hour to see her and it was well worth the trip. Our son got the best care and treatment. Highly recommend Dr. Saadia and her practice for all dental needs, especially the frenectomy.
We had a terrible experience with this office. I’m so disappointed that my lactation consultant referred me to Dr. Saadia for my infant’s tongue tie procedure. My husband took off work to come to the appointment with me. We were prepared to do the procedure the same day as the consultation. When we arrived, the receptionist explained that only I was allowed back for the examination, but once the examination was complete, my husband could come back, and we could both talk to Dr. Saadia and ask any questions. We thought this was strange but figured as long as he could come back after the examination to talk to Dr. Saadia and ask questions that it was okay. At first, I thought she was nice and appreciated her answering my questions and explaining the procedure and aftercare in detail. However, when I asked if now my husband could come back, she said no and that I could recap everything to him that we had discussed. She also said she “doesn’t do well with 3 way conversations.” It was very off-putting how she refused to talk to my husband. I had to repeat his questions to the receptionist who then went down the hall to ask Dr. Saadia and get answers. Against our better judgement, we decided to move forward since we had already invested in the $300 consultation and because of all the good reviews. We also felt pressured to move forward because if you pay in full after the consultation, they deduct the consultation fee from the total price. They said if you change your mind, you will be refunded minus the consultation fee. My husband and I discussed and decided to do the procedure that day, but then right before the procedure, the receptionist pulled up the calendar to schedule the follow up visit. She said Dr. Saadia is going out of town so the follow up will be in 14 days. I remembered back to what Dr. Saadia had said earlier in the consultation that the follow up is in 7-10 days and asked the receptionist if that is ok to go 14 days? The receptionist went back to ask Dr. Saadia and she said let’s do it when she’s back from vacation so we don’t have to wait the extra days for the follow up. If I didn’t question it, she would have done the procedure knowing she wasn’t going to be able to have the follow up visit in the recommended 7-10 days. Why did the office even schedule my child's consultation/procedure that day knowing she couldn’t provide the standard aftercare? The week before the procedure, I decided to start setting up the aftercare appointments for bodywork craniosacral therapy. All of the providers strongly recommended having at least 1 body work session done before the procedure to prevent reattachment. Dr. Saadia and her office never mentioned this to me. I called the office to ask, and the receptionist said Dr. Saadia recommends having at least 1 session done before the procedure but it’s up to me what I want to do… I had family flying in from out of state to help me with the aftercare, and then I had to reschedule the procedure last minute because they didn’t tell me I needed to do a body work session before the procedure for the best results. The office was also slow to respond to any questions and did not have a friendly, professional demeanor. After all of this, we decided we weren’t comfortable moving forward and would rather lose the $300 than continue to work with Palm Beach Pediatric Dentistry. When I called to cancel, the receptionist didn’t even ask why or ask if I had any questions. Getting the refund was a pain, and I had to email/call multiple times. I’m truly surprised to see all of the positive reviews. I ended up going with Dr. Craig Lustman and everything went very smoothly. And my mother in law was allowed back in the examination room with me : Dr. Craig personally reached out that night to check on my child post-op. He also saw my child for a follow up in 7 days, then again 3 weeks post-op. The receptionists and assistants were all nice and professional and answered questions in a timely manner.
We brought our daughter in because a lactation consultant suggested we get the dentist to look for a possible tongue tie, despite the pediatrician and midwife not seeing one. We were told that despite there not being any issues, she had the worst possible tongue tie that needed to be fixed soon, which means an elective surgery that cuts up the inside of her mouth with possible complications. We wanted to get a second opinion, but when we asked for our medical records the dentist would not send us the records, despite many requests, and wanted to know who we were going to show the assessment to, which seems very paranoid and suspicious.
Great team everyone is professional very accommodating. I took my son there 3 years ago and came back recently with my daughter for the same reason and I was not disappointed but remained impress. I would recommend them over and over again you will not regret going especially for concerns with needing frenectomy; I did it twice 3 years apart
I brought my newborn in as I suspected a tie. Dr. Saadia was wonderful! She informed me that there were actually more than one and was very informative in what to expect after treatment, especially with the stretching exercises. I felt very comfortable with entrusting my daughter to her care. I had the chance to feed my daughter after the procedure was completed that same visit and, oh my goodness, the difference in pain level while feeding was night and day! I just about cried tears of joy - not just that the pain was minimal while feeding my daughter, but that my daughter was no longer struggling with her feedings. In fact, my daughter actually fed in half the time she normally takes. It was amazing to see! Dr. Saadia is a kind person that truly cares about her patients. She called not long after we left the office to check in on my daughter and I. I can't express how much that meant to me. Please don't hesitate to bring your children in if you suspect they have a tie. If you're on the fence, know that revising the tie will benefit your children's well being. Who better to have this procedure done with, than with Dr. Saadia who not only has many years of experience, but that also her passion about her profession is genuine?
Dr. Saadia and her nurses took wonderful care of our daughter and of us. She was warm, educational and very patient with all of us through the process.
Dr. Saadia and her staff are absolutely fabulous. When my 2 year old knocked out large chunks of her front 2 teeth, she fit us in immediately as a new patient. From the kind and compassionate front desk staff to the friendly hygienists, we had such a warm experience in an otherwise worrisome situation. Dr. Saadia took the time to throughly review my daughters case with me and addressed other dental issues as well. Everyone really made my daughter feel comfortable throughout her procedure without jumping to medicate her. I never felt pressured into any procedure - she armed me with the knowledge to come to my own conclusions based on what was best for my daughter. I appreciate her holistic approach to dental care and I cannot say enough good things about the entire staff.
We made an appt with Dr Saadia to have our 4 year old daughter’s lip tie examined and found out she also had a severe tongue tie that was not addressed by other drs when i showed my concern for her not eating and she wasn’t thriving. Dr Saadia referred us to amazing occupational therapy to get her prepared for the release and feeding therapy. The procedure went better than we expected, Dr Saadia and her staff are so good with the kids, it made the process painless and very calming, we are forever grateful
Dr. Saadia and her staff are phenomenal! My son is 2.5 years old and has visited her office twice. The staff is great with children and very patient with the little ones. They allowed me to hold him during his cleanings which helped soothe his fears! Dr. Saadia takes the time to discuss your child's oral health in detail. I highly recommend this office!
I took my son to Dr. Saadia for his oral ties. She and her office staff was kind, comprehensive, and made us both feel so comfortable. After the surgery, she personally called that night to check up on him. My son was not able to breastfeeding for the first two months of his life. Almost a week after the surgery he was exclusively breastfeeding and has been ever since now four months old. I would recommend her to anyone that is looking for a tongue tie expert.
